For an animated cartoon parody of Super Mario in 2001, not too shabby.

The visuals, although good for it’s time, don’t really hold up very well, especially in HD. Could use a lot of cleanup. I believe some of this was traced from official Mario artwork, to keep it accurate to the source material.

Speaking of source material, this is based on the Super Mario cartoons, mostly the SMB3 iteration. In this, Luigi takes over the Mushroom Kingdom, betraying his brother. This was before even LegendaryFrog hit the scene.

If you’ve watched anything from the late Randy Solem, who was prominent around the same time, you should check this gem out.

I first saw this video back when I was 7 years old. This was the first time I stumbled upon Newgrounds. I completely forgot about it until a few months ago when I was talking about flash cartoons with a friend. The animation looks a lot different than from what I remember but it's still pretty good after all these years.

Ehhh to be honest, this video was so-so. What I only dislike about it was when Wario and the Toads were killed and there is graphic violence, but other than that, it was alright.

This epic is awesome and beautifully animated despite being so old. You have done an awesome job creating this, dude, and deserve my applause.

One of the first cartoons I have ever seen on Newgrounds. Hard to believe how old this is and its still awesome. I always thought Luigi never got the credit he deserves, and it seems that he feels the same way here. He has finally had enough.
