Critique

The concept of this movie is a bit lacking; there were certain parts in which I found humorous. For example: The red samurai drew his arrow and shot it. But the black one "somehow" knew it and eluded.

I believe that one part was rather unnecessary. If you would keep the tension growing between the two, then that would have created a much more epic scenery.

I also recommend that the fighting would be more connected in the sense that the samurai would seem to stand in less of an anime pose and more in a real life.

Thats all for now.

^^Good Points^^
I'm really quite impressed with this movie. I think that the music really made this more intense and got the viewer into the storyline and watching this. You also did a very nice job on using a lot of different camera views and effects to make this more interesting than a linear movie with a single camera angle. The ending was very good, I'm glad I watched this.

^^Needs Improving^^
The animations could use some fine tuning, even though they are really good. Framerate seems like it is a little slow.

Most Impressive

"The Fall of the Samurai" is a rare contradiction in itself. While the animation was relitivly crude it's one of the prettiest flashes in the samurai genre. How can this be? Pure style. Slowing down the pace and using imaginative angles and effects, "The Fall of the Samurai" sets its goal beyond the mindless stick figure crowds the genre, and make a true peice of flash art. While the framerate could use some tweaking, I definitly want to see what these guys do in the future.

I really like this film

I really like this film, its def my favourite samurai/ninja/eastern themed animation. The drawings are detailed though the actual frame-by-frame animation is minimal. The music is well used and I liked the recurring theme of the leaf and the weather. Though just a fight sequence, something more is hinted at..the music, the snow, the zen quote. Pity you never released another cartoon.

Great Job

I think you did a good job on the Armor. But exaderated the mask a little bit. other than that it was real good. i liked how you used music from tan dun
