Great from a qzar players point of view

very good its great to have a quasar game im playing compitition quasar for 14 years and this is great i like the fact that you have real players heads on the players im from Ireland and know free style karl so its very funny to see him there. He does not play any more though and he was never as good as he is in the game lol. Ive played in a comp in the U.S but i dont know the rest the Players in the game i know a popper but hes from cali and does not look like your popper. is he the same popper is it just the picture?
Theres a big quasar comp in may in ireland with 2 U.S teams coming and lots of Irish and English teams maybe you could feature some of thoughs teams in your next game as reps fom all around the world will be there. A game of the comp lol. You also dont have any lean back or rifle players in your game, there are lots of players in Ireland/England that play like this including myslef, It would be good to see the different styles shown so the game could capture Authenticity and Variety. Its a great game difficult though. can you download it so you can play off line? Do you still play yourslef?

NeroCaesar responds:

Thanks for the review! I know the popper your talking about in Cali, but oddly enough its just a coincidence. I'm planing to make a website soon with my flashes, so they can be DL, maybe in a month or two. I still play when i can, my goal is to one day go to Ireland to play, just wish it wasnt so damn expensive. Most of the players are East coast player, which is prolly why you havent seen them in Cali. My ultimate goal is to Get the game on PlayStation 3 with more players and moves and interactivity.

Almost there Greg....

Graphics - Menu's, sub menu's and characters are definitly sharper from the first version, and weren't as choppy. Objects are less blockly, and you can clearly see improvment. Overall, its pretty clean, but for the next version, its time to work on some new, cleaner graphics.

Style - Its pretty much the same deal from the first version, really no change in how things are done style-wise. No need to change this here though, as it perfectly unique in many ways.

Sound - Close your eyes for a moment while playing. If you have ever entered a Q-Zar Arena, if feels like your there. The sound is dead on, the crazy fight techno is great, and has all the little bleeps and bloops of a Q-Zar establishment. Go get energized!!

Violence - No blood, gore, or decapitation. Pretty tame here.

Interactivity - A definite improvement from the first version. You can hit more targets, change the skill level, do 2 on 1's, and the little base party at the end was sweet. Possibly next time there will be a way to choose your own path to the base, or somehow get another teammate involved, or even a multiplayer function (Q-Zar Online!!!).

Humor - This was just funny shit. If you know these people, your going to laugh just seeing them in there. Greg has a great sense of humor, and it shows through his work.

Overall - I gave the first version a five. This is definitely deserving of a seven. It might have been an eight, if there was a Tom Francis in it...hehe....in all seriousness, this version is a definite improvement over the first. More targets, and more function. All it needs now is some cleaner graphics, a better looking background, and possibly supercharge. Well done Greg, can't wait for version 3!!!

a lil bit better, my vote remains the same (3)

i don't like the idea of 2on1 matches, the game is still difficult and requires almost perfect timing, I still have trouble hearing the voices from the pack.

Lots of effort, but still a piece.

Should have spent less time looking for over pixelized graphics and such, and more time on making a game that isn't the typical point and click shooter that just sucks. I know Q-zar, played it a few times, having the sounds earned you some points, but when I saw what the game played like, well those points vanished. If you want it to be better, use fewer ripped graphics, get rid of the single opponent following a predictable path, lose the face pics, and learn to draw. And try to get a bit more interaction in there for christsakes, make it more like the actual game that you stole the name, and several logos from. If you don't know how to do that, either learn how to, or just give up.

NeroCaesar responds:

Thank you for your honesty and time put into your response. It helps lead me in a good direction. (A good 80% of the logo were made by me and friends though.) In my defense you should check out version 1 to see my progress with interactivity.

please

if your gunna make a game like this...at least use a laster tag game that doesnt blow ass....Laser Quest has Q-Zar's ass

NeroCaesar responds:

Well I finally got around to playing Quest, and I found out that Managers get fired if they fix the guns too often, and that a main strategy is to grab the gun that is the most broken and your allowed to swing that huge gun around corners and 'accidentally' hit people in the face. Despite the fact that your guns are known for never working properly, I could never understand why you guys have the largest amount of players... I just don't get it...
