AUGUST 6, 2005:
I worked quite hard on this movie, and hopefully it shows still. It doesn't have much animation or clarity to the plot, and if you don't understand what it's about then that sucks. For those who aren't down with the subtle movements, selective timing, and interpretable (is that a word?) plots, then the next movie I make may please you a little more. It's going to be all frame-by-frame, and will contain a more straightforward storyline.

Okay, here's my new movie, "The City". Turns out someone already submitted a movie called The City, but oh well. Anyways, I haven't submitted a thing for like 2 years now, so it's surely been a while. I put a lot of work into this movie (mostly because I didn't half-ass the art), and I'm very proud of it. A few scenes I feel could've improved a bit, but basically it turned out how I wanted it to. It's a movie about emotions, and I haven't ever really done that before, so it was something new to me.

I made all of the images with my trusty old mouse, so that could explain some sketchy art here and there, but I don't think it's noticably too poor. The music was performed and written by my brother Kyle. Since the movie's length and the length of the song are pretty close in time, it was designed to fit perfectly.. But since some of you may have slower computers, and because some of the graphics in my movie are pretty large and result in lagging, the song may end earlier than planned. The song was made before the movie was. I didn't really have a choice unless I was to crop the movie. I think the song fits the atmosphere perfectly, so I planned on using it relentlessly.

Whassup Biotch!

What'd you mean you couldn't be bothered, dude you have no life. Where the fuck am I in the creds like where's my prop biotch! yeah the art was great I wasn't expecting it to be quite so good the way you described it,it sounded crappier. French, I agree are you french? you're Dutch but now french? CrAzYaZz! It was pretty good not enough scenes to understand what your were conveying well I know what it is because I know you. The foot scene was too long and screwed up but I'm sure you've heard that millions of times yeah I liked it.GREAT JOB!!!!!!

Haha. I was too busy droppin' like it was hot to give you props. I guess the foot scene is kinda screwed up looking, but I meant to have the camera between his legs.. I guess it didn't quite work, hah. No worries though, I'm just so fly that don't even matter. I was just knockin' the boots H-Town style, and that's juz how we do in da ghetto. Thanks homie.

cool.

How.... French....

geez man

the arcade fire is pretty much the best band i've heard in a long time

surreal slice of life

i like the music and the flash was interesting, enigmatic as it may be.

A little short

I don't think you captured the overwhelming feeling of loss very well, the music didn't exactly fit the setting. It seemed very laid back and let's smoke a cigarette with your buddies and live the day by day sausagefest looking forward to nothing. It was quite short, but the point seemed a little off, either in depth and long or directly showing something that has meaning and short. I want to know why someone is standing alone, or why the man walks alone, why the kid is crying, or what happened to the deceased and how much it meant. The animation was good, I liked it. I just need more of a plot or premise to work with. Just my 2 cents.
