UPDATE
Hey thanks everyone! I appreciate your reviews and comments! There will be a Stupidance 2, it is now decided!
- - - - -
Hey. I had started this a long time ago but I got bored of it. Recently, I found it again and decided to finish it. I added Backgrounds and Extras to make it better and the result is, I think, great. Click the "?" in the game to learn how to play.

AUDIO :
Drowning Pool
Hoobastank
Millencolin
Less than Jake
Rancid

Enjoy!

P.S. : I know my character looks like synj's flatheads, don't tell me!

Hoobastank as a Song? SWEET

The Good:
-has hoobastank in it, my fav band by the way
-quite addicting
-many options to choose from
-smoothe animation
-did I mention hoobastank?

The Bad:
-only six dancemoves
-no saving feature

The Verdict:
This was quite enjoyable. Watching the green thing dance to crawling in the dark while planets are orbiting him. My favorite dance move was the 6th one. He just kind of vibrates. I would tell you some improvements, but seeing as you've already made a sequal, I would probably just tell you to improve on stuff you already have. Anyways I quite enjoyed this.

Hahaha!

That's really fun!

fun and time consuming!

very fun and entertaining to watch him dance and intresting choice in backrounds and extras. though i think an intresting way to improve it would be to allow other people to decide what music was on there or take some ideas for songs from the reviews, i suggest some slipknot or marilyn manson.

Joelasticot responds:

lol That's such a simple game. I'm glad people are still enjoying it 4+ years after its release!

GOOD GAME

That was a really good game, maybe dont have the better graphics ever seen but i love the music and for ShrikeandStunGun4CR are not all metal music n00b, you should listen more music.

Good idea, yet the game sucked

Graphics: Pretty ugly. But I assume that was the point, to make it look bad so that it could be funny.
Style: Interesting enough, no big, outstanding thing to point out here...
Sound (quality): Great.
Sound (music): Awful. It be nice if there was something other than pure heavy metal... If its a dance game, whynot have hip-hop/rap, dance/house, some techno, and a little bit of rock/metal too.
Violence: None
Interactivity: It was interactive, alright, but not really that fun, and that plays a big part in games.
Humor: I suppose the entire object of this was to make people laugh at how stupid and funny it was, but it wasn't really that funny anyways.
Overall: I was a little generous with the overall this time. Some people might have reviewed harsher with strait zeroes, but despite the fact that I hate the game and don't really like you, I still decided to give credit where credit is due.
Now, picking out certain reviews that I agree with...
"Music Choice was pretty poor... have you ever danced to metal..?"
"The set of moves is way too limited"
"You should have gotten dance music, as people... mosh to this, but i guess the awkward movements could be considered mosh movements..."
"Pointless and goofy..."

Yes, the key words there are POINTLESS and GOOFY. It really had no true fun factor in it, so there was no point in playing it longer than 10 minutes. It wasn't funny, just goofy. Funny enough to laugh AT it, not with it, but still overall not even that amusing.

(If you cringe at constructive criticism or hate being insulted, read this)
Being Nice:
It was a good concept, for sure, but it just didnt tick with me. A few key points that was required for it to become great in my eyes were ignored, while other areas were concentrated on to a near-pointless extreme. In the hands of a different flash designer, it might have been enjoyable for me, as different designers create different opinions, viewpoints, style, and work. Put it simply, it wasn't the idea of the game, it was how YOU designed it.

(If you aren't liable to scream at me because i say some mean things about you, then read this)
Being mean:
Played Stupidance 2 a couple years ago, hated it then. Played it now and its still gay. Tried this one too, still dumb. I really don't understand how you could have won an award with this... No choice of songs, impossible to match the moves to the music, retarded graphics... If you can fix the many flaws of this then perhaps it deserves a good rating. Really, how did you manage a 3.87? Newground quality was really going to the dogs back when this was made, but i guess because this was the best garbage of the bunch, it deserves a high rating. Really, it was an interesting concept, except your obsession with heavy metal and your failure at making the games key point (that is, synching the music with the dance) any good caused the death of this submission in my eyes.

Uhmm... yeah. Don't freak out because i insulted you there... I still remember you from when i reviewed stupidance 2.

"Shut up, idiot.

No room for improvement? How can you tell. You seem to have the mind of a retarded kid. I can have ideas, I could actually make a sequel to this and name right now 3 new features that would be cool to add.

Now go away please"

*cringes* DONT KILL ME...

I know I told you to scrap the idea back then, but now that i look at it, it wasn't the idea that was gay, it was the way you created it.

Overall:
"The game was just retarded. Bad graphics, original, bad sound... The idea was awesome, but you just sucked at making it. There is lots of room for improvement; don't scrap the idea, make it a heck of a lot better instead."
Completely contradicting what i said two years ago, but whatever... ;P

Now, after that MILE-LONG review, i look forward to your well-thought out and constructive comments to it. And please, don't give me another one of those shit-hole comments about how I suck because I thought your game was bad... Shows real negetivity on the flash designer.
W00T, I hit the character max here. Yay for me!!

Joelasticot responds:

Asshole!

Just kidding.

First thing I'd like to know is, you are aware that this was the first version of Stupidance, right? You seem to have played the second version first... just wanted to make sure that you didn't think that this was the sequel.

Anyway, to be honest, my greatest pleasure when I make Flash is to create retarded and meaningless stuff, as you can tell by the concept of this game. Stupidance is very old and was never meant to be submitted on Newgrounds, but some friend of mine told me to do so and I must admit I was pretty bored. I made this game just for fun and didn’t really care about what other people would think about it because I was not going to submit it to NG at first.

By the way, you keep telling me that the way I designed the game was gay. Why not tell me what to improve instead? I know the music choice wasn’t the best for a dancing game but to be honest I don’t really give a fuck.

Thanks for your review though, and don’t worry, there is no sequel on the way.
