Eternal Blamnation 2

Well, Clock Day has come and passed yet again, with a bit less fan-fare this year. We have made it a tradition to start working on a clock-day movie the day of, and finish it before the day is up. Just like last year, we didn't make the deadline.

As for this movie, it took roughly four hours of work. The voice work isn't the best, but we did what we could under the time constraints. Also, we did not actually blam any movies, nor did we watch any. If any flash authors are offended by what we did, it's all in fun. Grow a set and quit being a sally.

Lastly, enjoy the movie for what it is. A quick, comical look on the events that probably go down on Clock day. Peace, I'm out.

Happy Clock Day 2004! (70)

The 70th, and final, CD2004 flash, by my way of deciding such things. I started with a flash submitted at the end of 8/13 and end with yours, submitted at the start of 8/16, but I think it's a fair range to map out. Some of the flashes I included perhaps shouldn't have been.

And yours, though it starts with a pic of a crowned SBC with a "NO" sign through him, however... definitely falls under the "Clock Day" flash category. You attempted to provide a sort of summary or conclusion to the day's events... or as you put it, "A quick, comical look on the events that probably go down on Clock day." I think you did a good job with it. I'll check out your original from CD2003 at some point, too.

Anyway, as to Eternal Blamnation 2... I liked the simple sketchy style, first off. It was actually quite refreshing to see a few well-animated human beings after reviewing 69 flashes over the past two days that didn't feature many, if any, for the most part.

"Dude... did you shoot yourself in the head?" Hilarious. Time to be nitpicky, though. Strawberry's Clockday was already protected and in blue (i.e. over 3.50 in score) when you visited it "in the flash" (and presumably, in reality). And in any event, whether it was still under judgement or protected, you didn't "blam" it. You voted 0. The 0 vote may have descriptive text about blamming, but that only refers to UJ voting. You can go to the #1 ranked movie in the top 50 and hit the "blam" description 0 vote, but that doesn't mean you're blamming it. You're just lowering its score.

Not a huge deal, but that really pulled me out of the movie as so many idiots go "I JUST BLAMMED THIS!" to movies from 2000 or 2001 in their reviews, and then I have to pull out the reviewbanstick and it just gets really old. Like Outwar link spam. You wouldn't want to be associated with THAT, would you? ... WOULD YOU?!?!

So of course, you didn't really blam that movie. But you may have voted 0 on it. If so, that was quite silly of you, as that particular one was quite good. Still, a funny as hell flash with one HUGE error in language but not much else to complain about. Good job.

Happy Belated Clock Day 2004! 70 movies... REVIEWED. Finally. :::collapses:::

that was pretty sw33t!

that was hilarious, seriously, i mean, who could mistaked CS day 4 clock day?
but then again, CS PWNS, so i guess its not too hard.
but still
"Dustin, its clock day"

The funniest part is when Simon says to Dustin that it's clock day and he's like: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! And shoots himself in the head. Where did you get that sound effect? The "NOOOOOO!" one. Thanks for supplying me a few laughs.

FUnKy-bAcON responds:

To get the "noooo" sound effect, we just recorded Dustin yelling no, and then lowered the bit-rate of the sound file, making it sound lower. Then we split it in half and threw in a gunshot at the end for good measure. Thanks for the review, and I'm glad you found it funny.

Simple, and impressive. Are you guys friends in real life? Seemed pretty authentic.
"What have I told you, it's a clock movie, you don't actually have to watch it!"
Really comical in a subtle way. Congratulations.

FUnKy-bAcON responds:

Yeah, we're all good friends that frequent the portal pretty often. It makes me happy to know that you found it funny. Thanks for the review.

My ears, they hurt.

Anyway, for the actual movie itself, pretty good, the lipsyncing was done very well, congrats on that big time.

As for the anti clock propaganda, yippie again, newgrounds reflects real life where one group holds the majority under submission no matter how much crap they put out (boy bands?).
