Hey! To start this decade right, we believe Newgrounds should be ad-free for EVERYONE. For this to work, we need people who have the means to become paying supporters. For just $3 per month or $25 for the year, you can help this happen and get some nice perks!

For the month of February we have disabled ads on all E-M content. We need 195 people to reach our goal of 3,100 active supporters. If we hit that, we'll continue with a new goal in March!

A town full of death.
A haunted town, these days. Literally.

You are one of the victims, a ghost that can't remember his own name. Can you solve the mystery of your own death, and those in the town around you?

Game includes: *HELP* Function, Inventory system, interactive characters, painted backgrounds, extensive plot, Passwords (so that you can have a break to eat cheetos), sly commentary, and more.
It is a large game, the size reflects the content. It is NOT a simple action game, or spoof, or parody, but an extended mystery to be solved. There is also a difficult version, this one includes helpers and a better map. This also includes the new ability to use the arrow keys for movement, as requested by the reviewers!

The game is good, but...
1. Why does Rebecca need to seek redemption because she took her own life?
2. Why is drunk driving treated as a "mistake" that Stephen needs to forgive his killer for? A drunk driver is 100% at fault.

So long ago... still love this game

Very good game, I was especially impressed that when it felt like the end it was just the start of part 2... :) I liked the painted artwork, too. Interaction was somewhat annoying, good thing you added the ability to move using the arrow keys...

Oh my, God. I was only 11 years old when this came out and back when I first played it. I remember seeing it on Newgrounds front page back in the day. I cannot believe I found this game after all these years. I never thought I would see it again! I never got to beat it as a child but now I am finally going to finish it! (:

This game is great. It's well-written and full of interesting tidbits. I like the computer and attention to detail being rewarded. The password system is also nice, as opposed to replaying the whole game for different endings. I had some trouble at first with the UI and the art style, but it grew on me pretty quickly once I understood the basics. I noticed that a lot of environments aren't purposeful, which is nice for exploring for a short while, but a lot of it never had any use and gets a little annoying when stuck. There's also a possibility to put candles around before knowing their purpose (something I did), and seeing Dana before being told to. Going back to the library was always annoying as well, especially to tell me things I've already been doing just to change the other ghosts' dialogue.
