MV 1 :: Rock On!!!

Author Comments

This short music video is based on a NewGrounds Audio entry called "Quick rocker", by HeavyMetalHampster.

I always wanted to do a music video and now I decided to make a short, simple one. Don't expect much from it but hope you enjoy it.

Let me know what you think overall as I plan to make more music videos in the future.

good

liked dudes music it had some good rips in it

good music

the song is bad ass, i love this song! the animation dudes were cool, you might wanna speed up your drummer, he did like 3 beats per minute, lol. the music video did have a point, it was cool, but took just a lil too long to get to the crash, its an alright video, i added it to my favorites, so over all...

not to shabby

Not what I expect

i like your other works better than this. Even though it had a llittle bit of a music video thing going for it. I have to agree that you went to simple with this submission. I'll stick to your other stuff.

Promising

I think you may be able to create some great music videos. This one was promising, but nothing spectacular.
- I think the animation was a little too simple, especially since I know you are a talented animator
- The video was somewhat repetitive until the very end when the vehicles collided. Videos need have some variation to keep the viewer watching.
- IMPORTANT: In music videos, sound and animation MUST fit together perfectly. I think Walk-Smash-Walk is a perfect example of how this should work. You should first analyse the piece of music you want to animate, then put in specific actions, for example, on the beats or do a scene change when the song changes. This takes a lot of work, I know, but it looks great. For starters, I would make it so the drummer hits his drum when the actual drum hits in the music. That shouldn't be too hard. Then, make the guitarists strum to the beat. It's all about rhythm.

io3creations responds:

Thanks, DukeOfOxford. I meant this as a one day project and didn't want to spend much time on it. I was looking at rythm of the song but didn't have time to figure out the exact timing so I just kind of quickly assemled it. Another thing that I wanted to add was masking but somehow didn't work out so that's why there aren't a lot of colors. I'll keep your comments in mind for my future music vides though.

its 'ight .

i thought it was gonna be a hardcore rock movie, but i was wrong.

io3creations responds:

Well, rock is rock. Hmmm.
