This was notbad of a shooter and really has a nice depth of challenge the cockpit shake was odd but still made it somewhat realistic and fun

Okay, I'm too lazy to look through the reviews to see what everyone else has suggested, so I'll just make my list and if someone's already suggested it, so be it:

The cockpit moving around was an awesome idea, but it moves around a little too much. It shouldn't follow the crosshairs so closely. Not only does it block the view of the bottom half of the screen too much, but the square edges of the cockpit on the outside just look cheesy. Restrict the movement to just a little bit, let the crosshairs roam more freely, and it'll look really cool.

Obviously, there needs to be more levels... maybe one with with a Star Destroyer or two that you have to fight along with the Tie Fighters. There definitley needs to be a Death Star level. If you really want to get ambitios, a Hoth level would be super-sweet!

Need to see the X-Wings lasers when you fire. and maybe a different method of picking up R-2 other than shooting him ;)

Actual movie dialogue would be cool... just radio transmissions of people informing you there's another attack wave coming or something like that...

Otherwise, you have the start of a really awesome game! Keep at it, I'll be on the lookout for the full version.
