Vegas Video Poker

Here's a little Video Poker game. It was created just so I could further my experience and knowledge of Flash MX and ActionScripting. ~No sounds or overt animation~. It came out pretty tight (functionally speaking) and I figured some NG fans might like it. I'm not an artist, so don't expect lots of pretty graphics - tolerable, just not pretty.

This is a "Jacks or Better" poker game based on every other video poker machine in the world. Just in case you can't quite figure it out, the game will tell you how to play every step of the way. Just look at the "What's My Next Step?" box.

Have fun.

Needs a better look, it was kind of neat, just everything was bunched up so some things could be improved on this game it has some potential just got to put more time into this one anyways nice game here it was interesting and fun

~X~

For being a Vegas themed Poker game, the graphics need to be more over the top. There were a few glitches when it came to hands winning, but not getting credit for it.

Needed to be drawn better and found some probs!

Royal Flush, Straight Flush, 4 of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, 3 of a Kind, Two Pair, Jacks or Better. Thats the correct order...

How come you have a Straight or a Flush pay off more than a Full House? Thats just not right... before you make a poker game the least you should do is know the rank of hands! I think Im being very generous here giving you a 5... you probably deserve a 2! Have a nice day! =)

Nice neat little complex package of poker

Very nicely put together. Sure there are a couple of reports of glitches here and there, but you obviously pointed out you did this to better yourself in the "coding" sence of Flash MX.

of course, I really don't recommend using flash for making these types of games. Your better off making an actual executable.

It's nice to see your interested in this type of thing. I myself am new to flash, although I've made a hand full of games using various C++ parsers. If you would like me to give you some advice on what you should try e-mail (please only the author). I don't want to put it here, as it might seem like advertising, so only e-mail me if you want to.

I do reccomend, that if you redo this system with a diffrent program, use flash to animate cards, dealers hands, ect.

All in all, very good. :)

glitch

i got a straight and it didn't pay out... cheap thingie... 10-ace. oh well... i'm gonna go to bed now
