I know I shouldn't like this...
As a catholic I don't think it's very respectful, and yet, I'm always waiting for the next one to come out. Is it wrong? Yes. Do I still like it? Yes. I feel that the way you portray the stories is pretty true to the actual stories, especially this time. Sometimes when I read the Old Testament I find myself thinking "Wait, that's kinda twisted... isn't that the opposite thing that God wants?" but the Old Testament was always more brutal. I mean, I love God but some of the things he did were just strange and (like the title says) messed up. I think the New Testament is more the side of Christianity that people look at; it's more forgiving and hopeful.
