Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Great Oaks RPG is more of an adventure game than an RPG, with a movement and inventory you direct your character through the levels with the arrow keys and space. This is a demo to see what the public thinks of it before I finish the full version. Please try it out and leave a review. Complete each level and click the "Next Level" button, a temporary option that will be fixed in the full version...
2/25/2004: A few things...
Changed the name to "Great Oaks (Demo)" too many people complained its not an RPG...
Changed alias from MargaritaClock to TheJoseph, so its still me :)
Made progress on the full game, I've decided to make it 15 levels long...

This was a little fun to play

May I know how you did those boundarys because I can't find them at flashkit?

<deleted> responds:

Sorry, top secret :P i worked very hard getting them to work, and flashkit's tutorials pretty much suck, try google searching...

Some good stuff and bad

I think this could be really cool, but it's got issues. Work on the interface a little more; I shouldn't have to click on a button down at the bottom of the screen to switch screens when you've put a path and an arrow at the top. The controls are fairly frustrating, I have to get it juuuuuuust right in order to move through a gap of trees.

On some good notes, I love the music, very cool. The 8-bit look doesn't bother me at all. I gave you 3/5 because it's obvious that you put a lot more work into this than most of the submitters here at NG. Keep it up, I'm looking forward to it.

<deleted> responds:

Thx :) Will have all that sirted out in full version, glad to hear SOMEONE like "la musique"...

WELL

you need to fix the part where i can skip lvls you need to make it so that the guy moves faster you have a great idea going man just kick it up a notch k

Interesting choice of music

The game itself is pretty basic stuff but i really enjoyed the music.

Gameboy Material...

It's good anf bad... Good: It reminds me of the "bomber man" or "puzzle" type games for the Nintendo Gameboy. Bad: I'm not so sure how many people would actually play this...

<deleted> responds:

Very true, but see how popular "Frank's Adventure" was? He may know a little about actionscript, but I think his knowledge of hentai made it more popular :P Anyway the full one will have more of a story and a few new features sohang tight and try it later.
