Need Concept / Texture Artist for game

Attack of the Mold is a 3D Roguelike with RTS elements. You play as a customer in a store commanding your food minions against the moldlings. We primarily just need a concept artist but if you can texture as well that'd be great. Our goal is to release the Beta December 1st. 

Our talent: 1 3D Modeler/Director (Me) and 1 Programmer 

Split %: 25% goes to the company to finance future projects. The remaining amount will be a 3 way split amongst the 3 of us (Assuming it remains just the 3 of us). If you want to just be paid based on your work instead we can negotiate something.iu_1220092_6562807.webp

I need help completing my platformer game!

Hello there! For the past two years, I've been working on my game, Pouchie The Cat, practically solo, with the exception of a couple of friends helping me here and there with art and concept design. As it is, the game is only half-done, and while I've become a lot more skilled as a game developer and coder, I really don't want to do the rest of the game without help. So I'm looking to see about getting some help from people on Newgrounds who may be interested.


The main information that you need to know about the game is this: Pouchie The Cat is a black and white pixel platformer about a cartoon cat, with a gameplay style similar to Super Mario Bros. Pouchie's goal is to investigate construction sites and mining operations owned by the shady businessman, Grump The Pug. He starts this adventure when one of his friends, Annie, was injured due to a strange earthquake, seemingly caused by Grump's operations. This concern is elevated when strange creatures known as Blobbers start seeping out of pipes, invading every environment they enter. Pouchie attempts to get answers from the nearest workstation, and is (literally) kicked off of the premises for even trying it.


The plan for the game is to have four worlds, each with eight levels, and a boss fight per level So far, only two of the four worlds has been completed.

Here is what I need from potential volunteers:

  • 8-bit showtune tracks for the game.
  • Concepts for some mobs that are specific to some environments.
  • Coders who are familiar with Godot 3.x (The game's too old to be updated to Godot 4.x)
  • People who are good with designing platformer levels

You don't need all of these skills, even just one is better than none.


Here is what you can get in exchange for your contribution:

  • Your name in the credits of the game, and what role you contributed to the project.
  • I will volunteer to help in one of your projects if you need an extra hand (essentially, art trading: You made something for me, and so I'll make something for you)
  • If the game is ever released on Steam, you will all get Steam keys to the finished version of the game.

I might be able to offer more things in the future, but we'll have to wait and see.
