But yesterday I decided to try some MS Paint stuff and i think its pretty good...in fact im gonna start doing some more ms stuff and posting it.

As of right now please tell me what you think of this picture.

Remember that head I couldn't finish? Well, I kind of finished it, and added a gangsta chain. More as the drawing progresses.

once you get to know how most 3D things are done, they aren't interesting anymore. just deal with it :X

.... I think I've been doing 3D longer than you... maybe I'm wrong. How long have you been doing 3D?

Enough. Why do you continue to post stolen artwork? Mario MS Paint into Google image search, and you know what the first result is? That picture from this site (Paper Fire Mario). ell it's even higher quality there. It's really disturbing to me that you continue to post stolen pictures time and again, even after being caught. Just stop.

Well then I guess we're even :-P

I experimented with swift 3d about four years ago. Then I "got" maya, opened it, couldn't even move my point of view or anything, gave up for about a year, returned to my "gotten" maya, bought a book, read the book (only the basics it had), self-taught from there, and finally bought maya. About one year later, here I am.

I've found that not drawing black lines around everything makes it look much more realistic. I feel stupid for not realizing this simple concept before... when you look at things in real life, they certainly don't have black lines around them

Yeah, stuff usually looks better without lines though when done right using outlines can look really cool. Without outlines is more realistic though =P

I thought about it but it's hard to draw without outlines and making it look good, although it's reallistic...

Easy enough in Flash, although it's quite hard with pencil. I have bad expereinces with rubbers, so I try and get everything right the first time round. :D

I'm back! on a temporary basis. No-one can remember who I am! but I don't really mind.

Response to Newground Artist showcase thread 2005-11-21 13:53:46

yeah.. just draw it, double click your lines to select them all, and delete. I made a semi-neat factory type building yesterday in this manner, I'll post it up when I get home

I'm not that stupid :P I was just saying that it sometimes looks worse than with outlines.

Why not copy the Screen with the (alt+) print key, and using a random image editor and the pipette/info tool (or even flash)?

Whenever I tried doing that the color came out as one shade off. I ended up fixing it but I forget how :S

but the only way drawing without lines works is if you understand and can carry out with the basics of shading. Otherwise it just looks like you took a picture and bumped the contrast up like crazy.
