Yeppers. Something... dark. I liked the 3d but it was too big of a file and it didn't fit the feel of the piece.

I agree 100% with MarsYam on both counts. Part of the lack of structure may just be the missing parts, but even thinking about the Nysaka-mine-MarsYam part which will be consecutive in the movie, it seems like it may be a bit jumpy to the audience. Perhaps we should wait till it's all finished and then decided think about it though.
As for pvt-blasto's part it's all really good but I think it could use a bit of editing, there's a few time chunks (like the end) where cutting of a few seconds would tell the story just as well.

It seems too calm to be the explosion of the sun. Make it more violent. (shake, motion blur, reddening sky)
Also, change the BG. White dots on a black background isn't what I'd call realistic. I can make one for you in Photoshop, if it's too hard to do in flash.
