I've discovered one (possibly multifacted, however) bug with version 1.30 that wasn't an issue with the VP list updating, but IS an issue with this list. I'll let you know about it in your topic, however, as I don't want to get totally off topic in my own pentalist thread. #;-}>

I hope you enjoy, despite being not-very-close-to-making-it, the fruits of both our labours in this list update. I only did it today because I could do it quicker with your program, though I did spend a couple hours adding tons of people to the "tracking" area of the spreadsheet manually. Now I'm pretty much set until 2005, except for an occasional came-from-nowhere blammer who jumps from 2000 to 6000+ blams in a couple months, I suppose. All future updates shall be faster because of the work I just put in today + your program. HOORAY!

Well, you've gained 1500+ since last time, and had I not updated today due to the NG Lister program, you probably would have been over 50k by the time I updated this a week or so from now (then again, I'd also be ahead of ramagi, quite likely, as well... but I'm glad I stopped at #2 today, I'd rather pass fixit first and enjoy the #2 spot for a bit first #;-}>).

So anyway, rest assured that you'll be ahead of 50k in around a week or so, if not earlier!

Well, have fun with your high-response-ratio-targetted reviewing. I need to do some of that myself sometime, but I'm actually more concerned with hitting 500 reviews right now than I am with increasing my response ratio. It's nothing that NEEDS excusing, and besides, the reason I don't review more often doesn't really have anything to do with my modding. Anyway, ever since I hit 300 reviews around a month ago, I've reviewed 132 flashes, so... I've really turned it around on the reviewrate, anyway. I was referring to 20 months' worth of average reviewing. The past 1 month blows the other 19 months away. Probably 5 per day compared to 0.5 a day. heh.

Once a week is too much, yes... but when I let it go for a month or so, I have to worry about people sneaking up (in blamcount, mostly) on 10,000 without me noticing them over a longer period of time, and with the NG lister making list updating faster... well, that's why I'm thinking of making it a bit more often than once a month so I don't get surprised by new, fast blammers.

Indeed. This one'll never be as fast as the VP list, now that the VP list doesn't care if it's the top 100, top 500, or top 1000, pretty much. Simple one column pastejob over there. This list is envious. #;-}> Like I said, it's not even that it's a five column pastejob and the necessity of carefully pasting correctly... it's the fact that I can't just plop all current listees' and potential listees' data in and sort by total, as I'd be shuffling the people with a stat over 10,000 and the people without a stat over 10,000 together as thoroughly as a Vegas blackjack dealer shuffles the deck. And that would be messy to visually confirm and resort that way... so instead I have to JUST do the current listees first, then pull the "almost there on exp" people's exp column, the "almost there on blams" people's blam column, etc. etc. etc. and shuffle those according to that ONE stat, and then sort in the ones who've now made the list just under the listees and THEN resort the list with the new additions.

Maybe so, maybe so. But I think it's more than that. The numbers lately tend to be around 200 submissions, 110 deleted. That's 90 that aren't, and even if 20 are whistled, that's 70 protects, say. Pretty impressive number ANYTIME a day's savecount is > 50% of the blamcount, IMO.

Were you grouping together all the new entrants? You forgot the two who made it in on exp, if so.

If you didn't gather it from the big paragraph up there explaining the new method of getting a list ready along with the NG Lister... there were 105 people on the list last time, and 6 new additions (2 exp, 2 blam, 2 post)... I stacked them up at the end of the already-on-the-list section, and thus they ended up with 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, and 111 as their "last update's rank" numbers. It's the best way to do it because I can't sort by the old totals as there ARE no old totals for the new people to the list. I don't keep non-listees with info in their cells.

But, I should note I was doing it that way BEFORE the NG Lister was created as well. I just think that since this list is so arbitrary to begin with that it doesn't really need any attempt at accurate new entrant placement like I do try to do with the VP list. It's a fabricated stat amalgam and I imagine new people to the list "entering from the bottom," even if they're actually gonna be #12 or #13 like XwaynecoltX for example. #;-}>

O_o With all the people who wish they were on this list and have > 10,000 total stats but not a single stat over 10k... me and ramagi and fixit (And soon Recon) having over 50k in total stats but not over 10k in all 5 stats is kinda similar... heh...

It's like humans thinking they're gods to the ants (that'd be us listees compared to the nonlistees), but then the actual gods looking down on US as ants (that'd be the 10k+ exp, blam, save, post, AND review gods compared to us puny non10kinallfivestats listees).

Actually, there can be as many people with level 30 or deity whistle, as long as they have the same number of points. Also, It has happened to HT and Pimp when they were only 10 points away.

Being in a tie is very rare, and everyone knows that both users will have the same ranking in a tie situation...
It's such a rarirty, that I dont even think they included it in the FAQ.

Actually not as rare as you think. A few months ago, Pimp was gaining level 30 and then dropping back to 29 everyday. Kinda felt sorry for him, but he lost his respect somewhere down the line...

As to the Whistle, TheJoe has a pic of him and ramagi both having Deity whistles. Can't remember the link...probably been posted a million times, though.

No, Carmel made the sig... I just accepted it without judging it too closely because I likes the elite grand rank and the axe rank... I really didn't care if it had blams and protects, so I didn't look closly.. HAHAHa and neither did anyone else... untill now!

so my dude cows into the cow world, my computer is going to the desktop for an MSN convo I clicked by accident (which seems to be an incredibly slow rate). And surely enough... KAPEESH! DEAD!

This link, you mean? I found it after searching for topics on the Deity Whistle (suprisingly enough, there was only one). That link is pretty interesting. Shame we can't see what level TheJoe was at that point.
