hey i was actually thinking that's how it would be done. but my question is more directed at listening to song after song you must get sick, maybe effecting what you think of a song. Or you just listened to an inspirational song and its still in your head while listening to another (like drinking juice after eating candy, just doesnt have that kick). Then again im sure you listen for flow transitions melody all that good stuff.

I'm guessing it will be announced on Halloween, it's had problems when the deadline was on the end of the month, causing a problem to do a next month MAC.

I'll second that statement. This was like the super loaded contest. Everytime a new entry was uploaded i was blown away... seriously... having it more open ended like this made the talent really come out.

Maybe it'd be neat if all the MAC participants reviewed each other's songs. Then it'd be like, a community. Or something.

Each song is assigned a number. Now, lets say there were 20 submissions. Maestro goes and runs a program with the code:

Print Rand(20)

Then the submission with the corresponding number wins. It's a very delicate procedure.

First I print out all the song names on paper. Then I take my favorite prison shank and I stab violently into my neighbor's neighbor who will then start screaming numbers at me. Something like "OH SAINTLY JOHN PSALM 13:4!!!"

13:4!?!?!!

This means I must cut out the first 13 letters of the first 4 song names. Now I rearrange those letters to try and spell my name. If I accomplish this I pick out a random letter, a song starting with that letter wins.

Then as cHunter gave away, I open my favorite java console.

open judging. Any person who didn't compete is allowed to help judge. Judges give in their top 10 entries in relevant order. So their first is who they think should win, second is second place, etc etc etc.

I have a few guidelines I keep around to keep out the bogus judge votes.

After all is said and done, I add the judges scores alongside my own, and spit out a final list. From this final list is our winner.

But the prison shank method always has priority.
