That's true, it's well known that dolphins often have sex merely for pleasure. I think it has more to do with mammals than animals in general.

But coming back to the topic of human reproduction, there are several factors that play into what sex actually does for us. Sex and love are definitely two different worlds entirely, yet they can be profoundly connected. The old argument is that humans aren't naturally monogamous. Yes we are able to have sex with multiple people but we are also very hard wired to have a committed relationship with one person.

When it comes down to it, there's no umbrella philosophy for sex and love that fits every person. Some will be promiscuous and some are only interested in one person. You can't judge someone's interests based on your own experiences.

It's a gay club with a different kind of "gay."

I don't care what Confucianism thinks of me anymore, just as long as he's not turning everyone against me for thinking the way I do.

I meant the derogatory kind of gay, meaning lame/uncool/stupid, just like kids use in school - That's how I found the atmosphere here.

Hey now, as long as you don't talk to me about I don't care. You do what you want to. And even suggesting that I would do such a thing, damn. That's nasty.

Well, I dunno.

But if not, then I apologize for accusing you of it, and will try to remember that in the future.

At 11/6/12 02:05 PM, SG3 wrote: I meant more like, did/could anyone here vote? Opinions?

I can't vote, but I want Gary Johnson to win. I know he doesn't have a hope in hell, though, so I'm not sure. I hate all of Romney's social policies, and some of his economical polices as well, but I dislike a few of Obama's economical policies, too, along with the fact that he passed the National Defense Act, which allows the indefinite detention or execution of anyone in the US without a trial. So I'm really conflicted

Also, when are results announced?

They're supposed to be announced tonight, but due to Hurricane Sandy screwing up the entire East Coast, there could be delays, and I can guarantee you there will be challenges to the winner.

Sorry, I thought we were talking about pot here.

But yeah, 10 states is pretty good for legalizing gay marriage. Still, it should be a supreme court thing; like repealing all sodomy laws in 2003.

Idiots cared more about same Sex Marriages and Abortion rights which are all State Issues more than 20 million people are out of jobs. The Country is very Selfish, people only care about themselves and not others. Anyone with an IQ above 80 would tell you jobs are more important right now.

So is federal spending, and when you're talking about someone who wants to increase an already bloated military budget, you get a bit worried.

Why do gays want to get married is what I want to know.

Straight couples can get married, therefore gay couples should be able to get married as well.

Indeed. Marriage is a commitment between people who love each other and it shouldn't matter what sex they are or from what background or race.

I don't care about marrying anytime soon, but if I was together with my partner for 5 or so years and it was all going well then I might consider thinking about it. There isn't any reason you can't just be together and not married these days as many people do just that, my mother is a prime example as she hasn't married and doesn't plan on marrying her boyfriend despite being together and sharing a house etc. for years as they simply don't want to do it again (after both being in failed marriages before). But that doesn't change the fact that if people did want to get married and have that extra commitment and show of love that they should be allowed it.

The same reason straight people want to get married. They love each other and want to show the commitment to be together the rest of their lives.

Same-sex marriage should be legalized all throughout the USA, but the local churches should have the right to refuse performing ceremonies based on religious grounds - Separation of church and state FTW.

I can't speak for everyone here, but I certainly don't need or want to get married anytime soon.

Still, if the majority of gays want to get married, they should have every right to.

Why do you think marriage should be specifically for straight people though?

Just think of this, what do you think the point of marriage is? It can't be reproduction, because people who are sterile and can't have children still get married. So what is it then?

I don't really care, but I can see who the people who oppose it are saying, marriage was designed by straight people for straight people.

Just think of this, what do you think the point of marriage is? It can't be reproduction, because people who are sterile and can't have children still get married. So what is it then?

Then they adopt kids.
