Although my granddad, someone who usually dislikes me and acts like an arsehole towards me usually (for example, he commonly compliments to all the rest of the family about my cousins, but never mentions me and my brothers in a good way), told my dad to treat me for a favour I did for him (found cheaper travel insurance), so it looks like I may be able to buy a game a little cheaper.

On the other hand, my torch is fucked really and my homework is over a week over-due due to my own fault. I also managed to buy two things accidentally on my X-Box 360 I didn't need for Assassins Creed 2. I will admit that I was somewhat disappointed and expected a bit more about The Bonfire Of The Vanities, but it was generally a pretty entertaining add-on. Only other good thing I can think of today was how a guy I'm sort of into admitted he liked me a lot...Oh what a shame he's in love with someone else he met after he met me. My dad is a bit pissy that I weigh a bit more than I should, and keeps asking when I'll go on a diet. I plan to hopefully begin to lose weight towards the summer, maybe start dieting mid-spring (although I doubt I'll go vegan again). Soon, I'll probably start exercising.

Only other thing I can think of is if it wasn't for the amount of pets my brother has and how I'm hoping to go to university soon, I would consider getting a guinea pig.

This too will pass.

For Valentine's Day me and my boyfriend just chatted and had a bit of fun on Skype. :P Cos I'm in the UK and he's in Australia atm.

Well, the party was kind of disappointing. There were hardly any people there and the ones that were there were either my friends or in their 20's. But, it was okay as me and my friends sort of just went off and played pool and whatnot. Then a few of us went back to one of our houses and stayed the night. So, I made the best of it. I managed to see friends that I hadn't seen in months.

Heh, I was in Quebec with my family on Valentine's day. I'm tired of being single.

Longsighted=Farsighted. If you are farsighted you can see far away without correction. Nearsighted you can see close up without correction. I never had glasses in my life and I thought things were starting to become fuzzy so i went in for an eye test like 2 years ago. Turned out I needed "no line progressive lenses" which is fancy way of saying bifocals. Well I hated them very much. Made me queasy sometimes and I just couldn't get used to them in general. You have to take them off when going up and down steps because people tend to look down when they use steps and the bottom half of my glasses had the up close part of the prescription so I kept falling. The doc told me the more I wore them the more I would gt used to them and he was right but I still take them off when doing stairs. I fell out of the back of the ambulance twice because of the stupid things.

To JohnnyWang...I couldn't agree more about finding someone to fulfill the "needs" on a regular basis. I think if I weren't in a relationship I would be a real whore ;P

Let me put this to you:

The guy who very pissy about it is addressing it from Fort Hood. The same place where someone went on a killing spree recently.

Which shows how valid their opinion is.

And you are just showing bigotry towards him as well just because of where he is stationed.

You also have to look at this from the soldiers' perspective. Straight men are the dominant population of the armed forces, and suddenly having homosexuals openly serving can be quite a shock to them. It could take time to have the military ready to accept homosexuals of either gender into their ranks with limited homophobia. This could give time for courses on how to properly treat fellow human beings despite sexual orientation.

It sounds like a weak argument I know, but it's still true. I'm also saying this as an outsider as I'm sure I'd be much more pissy about it all if I were American.

The way I see it is simply: He's one of the head in command at that post so he's the type who has a say in the decisions that could of prevented the Fort Hood shooting spree. It wasn't as though this happened due to one singular event that couldn't of been avoided. It was, partly, over constant harassment due to the ethnicity of the shooter (if I remember rightly). Now, considering we're talking about the "Don't ask, don't tell" rule which is meant to prevent homophobic treatment, I think it's actually pretty relevant.

Well... "The testimony by the service chiefs is considered crucial to the debate. As the top uniformed officials in each service, the chief is in charge of recruitment and preparing troops for deployments. If the policy on gays is overturned, they would have to decide how to implement the changes."

But this made me roll my eyes: "Casey and Army Secretary John McHugh said a moratorium on 'don't ask, don't tell' would put existing cases in legal limbo and introduce confusion." Political jargon for "too much effort."

Well, to try and think as the devil's advocated, I'd say that it could create uneasy chasms of distrust between soldiers and impede on their ability to work together if better training isn't introduced. And, more training takes time. But even that is a weak argument and I don't agree with it. I saw a cartoon relating the DADT policy to how white soldiers didn't want to fight alongside blacks during that time period.

Basically, the way I see it, it's a stall tactic.

Thought I'd pop in and brag.

Me n the Mrs been together 3 years now.

From a bisexual perspective, it makes me wonder whether I'd have been happy with a guy to stick with him this long. Or long-term wise would I always get along with girls more in a relationship? It's hard to tell since I ain't had many long-term relationships.

What about the fellow bisexuals in here? Is there a particular sex you find you have a short-term lust for but as far as love is concerned you prefer the other?

I'd say I'm too young an inexperienced to answer that. I'm currently in a relatiionship with a guy. I've never even dated girls, but I have been in love a few times.

Well, judging from my limited experiences in relationships (as in, one relationship), I'd say I have short-term lusts for women, but in terms of love, it feels less of a one way system with guys. Well, just in general I get the feeling I'd be in a better relationship with a guy than a girl.

I could have a short term lust for either men or women. But for long term, I tend to get more comfortable in a romantic relationship with other women. So long term would have to be women.

No, there's equal amount of queers in every age group; roughly 10%, give or take. Older people are of couurse out more likely than really young ones.

But for eaxample, when I went to the GLBT club night few weeks back, i was actually surprised how young the people there were. Everyone was over 18, of course; it was a club with alcohol permits, but still.

It's probably a case of the distribution of people being gay/bi is about the same throughout the age groups (past puberty) but the numbers vary in terms of self awareness or being out.

Those who are younger may not have fully discovered themselves or aren't willing to admit it yet due to the peer pressure and stigmatism present in high schools etc.

Then the much older generation were born into a time when homosexuality was very much frowned upon and they were forced to suppress their desires and go into heterosexual marraiges etc and so did not come out either.

In general you're most likely to find people who are aware of themselves and are out being in the ages of 17-35 I'd say.

You might be bi, too, you know.

Anyway, I don't know, it could be a phase, but it could also be geniune attraction. My personal suggestion? Look at some gay porn. Your reaction should be a good indicator.
