My extended family knows nothing of my orientation, as far as I know. And as much as I want to come clean, my parents tell me not to because it's frowned upon by most Polish families.

My close family has been cool with it. I haven't told my grandma, or any family further than that. And don't really have plans to. I can wait for my grandmother to die, and the rest of my extended family doesn't matter.

Meanwhile, my boyfriend is reallly open with his family, close and extended, and they're embarassingly ok with it; they keep asking about hiis boyfriends.

Well, my brother and his girlfriend took me coming out recently well (I posted it, just no one noticed it). My more extended family may act like jerks (well, except one of my cousins most likely who was in the army, I really doubt she will), with my grandparents the most likely to be shits about it. I can also see my other cousins being obnoxious, then again they're religious fucks with their feet on the clouds.

However, I can only see my grand parents being homophobic if I'm not flamboyant or pushing my sexuality into other people's faces. I think mainly because too many people are proud of me in terms of my education right now to turn around and say "FUCK YOU!". Then again, I never expected my ex to be a bitch...

same with me, almost nobody in my extended family knows, except for one aunt, who my mom told. (which i wasn't okay with) my aunts husband probably doesnt know, he's a meathead football type, and would probably make really offensive jokes. i have an uncle who i would tell, but for some reason i haven't. idk i dont see any point.

as for my grandparents, same thing, my mom told me my grandma thinks bisexuals are perverted. which is fucked up. my family is cool enough to accept it, and even joke about it. i join the jokes too, but my dad hates the jokes. even though i know he loves me, i'm betting he hopes i marry an Eve, not a steve

so yeah, same thing.

I think just about everyone in my family would understand, except for my grandmas (they're not lesbians, both of my grandpas have died), and my aunt and two cousins who are diehard republicans.
