Just remember this. If you move one part of the body on a stick. Everything else must move in some way to keep it all balanced. Just think, if you were to move a part on the body even a little bit, the characters center of gravity has changed, so he has to shift his weight in such a way that it looks like he wont topple over (from just sticking an arm out or somthing)

As you said, pivot is a very good training tool/program. It covers basic movements and also has alot more easing than flash animations. So I guess I use it too help me ease more correctly and other stuff etc. Also I will only be using it like once ever 2 months or may even stop.
