Well it's been my first day here, and i've managed 34 B/P points. I think that's good anyway. I should hopefully have over 100 in the next week.

If you can manage 34/day, consistently, you'll rank up every 3 days for a couple of weeks.

There's a number of lists out there that will be helpful to you to chart your progress:

The EGRL is a ways off for you ... even maintaining that pacem will still take you a couple of months to get there. I only track EGs and up, since a good chunk of my "system" is still manual.

ShittyKitty's TotalListing won't have you listed either ... just make sure you are over 100 BPs by the end of the month and you appear on it. His system is almost fully automated, but full checks are only done once per month for people with at least 100BPs and you just missed the last check by a couple of weeks. Worst case, you can see how many thousands of ranks you'll go up every day ;)

Swive mentioned the issues you'll encouter due to living in England and the resulting time difference. Check the Submission Stats site. If you've only got an hour or two in a day that you can spend on NG, it should help you figure out which hours you should be trying for.

It's basically the DAILY AVERAGE of BP points since the last update (updates usually happen Saturday mornings, 9-10am GMT (well that's when the stats get pulled, the update is usually a bit later due to having to update and upload pages)). Peoples' paces usually start out high thanks to higher submission rates over the weekend, then gradually drop over the week.

Denvish pretty much covered how it works. How I decide who can even show up on it is a bit more involved. I can't be bothered to go back and find someplace I posted it previously, so here goes...

I don't track anyone's BPs until they make it to at least EG Private, so for me to even know what kind of pace at which someone is running they need to have been EG for at least one previous EGRL update. Once I know the paces people are running, they need to have at least gotten coloured (40/day or better) during the preceding update. Those people I set aside and with check their totals daily for the morning mini.

If they've managed to get over 70/day during the current week, they'll show up in the Pace section.

If they've managed to exceed the Ba, and are not already in the NG Top 50, they'll show up in the Days to 50 section.

If they're pace and total is such that it is expected that they will take less than 6 months to make it to Supreme Commander, they'll show up in the Days to SC section.

Races are just spotlights in and near the Top 50 where there's a number of people relatively close together.

It's been fairly rare until recently, but certainly possible, to appear in all four sections.
