...to download. i'm not new to maplestory, i just wanted to have it on my portable laptop so i dont have to go to my mother's computer.
i started downloading the patch at about 5:47, and it's at 42% right now. i dont want to wait anymore, with the mushroom castle and that stuff.

Why didn't you just save the install and save it to a flashdrive, portable hard drive or disk and then transfer it? That takes much less time and it's bandwidth efficient, ya? I play RO and I saved the installer the first time I had to download it...saved me loads of time

yeah thats actually a very good idea, but not for MS. if you want to save it onto a disc, you still have to wait the entire time. my other computer took a long time too. i'm at 52% right now.

Plus it's better to download the most updated version as the patcher likes to mess up from time to time.
Why even bother? I played for about 2 weeks, then got bored of the routine: Kill monsters, level up, increase skills, kill monsters, level up, increase skills, repeat, BUT WAIT! when you level up the exp needed increases! so you can waste more of your time!

but the quests are different. i do agree, it is boring, after all i quit for a few months, but every once in a while i get the craving. plus, they have a bunch of new places to go, like mushroom castle, orbis, ludibrim, and those places. and, they have a new gachapon.

The amount of quests now actually makes it worthwhile for a bit, and if you're fucked up like me and need ample time to completely blank out any thought what so ever, it's good.
But yeah, a year or so ago, it became unbearable at level 23.

Isn't that what console and NON downloadable(besides a certain way but if i say how ron will rape me in the ass again) computer games are for? I mean if i had to choose from spending 5 days just to hold that new sword, or slicing heads off of stormtroopers in jedi academy, or defeating ganon with the master sword...i would choose the latter two. I don't know about you though.
