What is the appeal of bands like AFI? I don't understand emo at all. I have enough fucking problems, why do I want to hear some pasty guy like Davey Havok whine about his? It's just depressing.

or you could pay attention to something else other then the lyrics
Afi is not emo. Sing the sorrow is their only pussified album. listen to Shut your mouth and open your eyes or black sails in the sunset to hear real non-dreamworks AFI.

"answer that and stay fashionable" is one of my favorite albums, as well as one of the most punk.
do some research before you call a band emo.
