So im going to buy a 12 month starter kit for xbox live for a normal xbox NOT 360.
Normaly i dont see anything on my xbox to set up the network.
So does the kit come with a start up disk of some kind or what?

Why not just buy a Xbox360?
The Xbox is pretty much dead, since they announced they won't be making anymore games for it.
Everything I see is just a image of my thoughts "Always looking for a better day..."

Theres trade in and add $$ programs to get a 360 at local stores. Even if you can only afford the game that comes with the system if it has live it will be much better than anything on regular xbox. I think you getting live is a waste since most people are gone. You could buy used/older games at a cheap price and use the free monthly trials for xbox live found inside the game case.
