A question of abstention.......

I'm getting sick of all of the election coverage here in the UK. None of the parties seem worth voting for, not even some of the smaller, "revolutionary parties." The first time I was eligible to vote, I voted for the "Natural Law party", for no other reason than that someone had put a leaflet under the door at University, with a picture of someone practising flying Yoga (I forget what the actual word for what they were doing is, but it looked like fun, so I voted for them out of lack of alternatives).

However, I'm no longer at Uni and so don't get these quirky ads. Nor do I think that the Natural Law party still exist, I doubt anyone would be mad enough to fund them for four years (the duration of time since the last major election).

So, I'm thinking of abstaining (for those of you who don't know, you can write whatever you want on a ballot slip - if it's not a clear tick in one of the boxes, then your vote doesn't count - but what you write has to be registered).

The question is, what should I write? I leave it to you. :)

You put "Tom Fulp, "Wade Fulp, "Emmit Nervend!!!!!," "trae," "Shok" or me, "Insane Strobve Light Junkie!!!" YEAH!!!! EMMIT NERVEND!!!!!

Emmit Nervend (future ruler of the UK) says: My campaign is going to be based completely on Flash animation. I am dedicating $5,000,000,000 of government funding to making children work in sweat shops producing Flash movies such as Street Life and Pico.

Hrmmms, I'm glad I'm not old enough to vote :) But if you really can't make up your mind...then my personal preference of what you should write would be:

"Camel-Pants"

For absolutely no reason whatsoever...alternatively you could vote for the "Jedi-Knight Party", as there are probably quite a few Jedi-Knights around after that census we had. Did you hear about that?? Hehe, anyway....I leave it up you :)

Just thought I'd let you all know that I voted for Emmit Nervend.

As a side note, did anyone hear (UK) that if 10,000 people said that their religion was "Jedi" in the census sent out recently, that "Jedi" would have to be registered as a valid religion? I wish I had known that before completing the form.

Hehe, I took your advice and abstained :) On the voting form I wrote "Everything is overtaxed, including fuel and music CD's,(importing them from say,America costs less than going into the shops to buy them)Security in schools is extremely poor, and politicians are all as bad as one another,so I refuse to be involved with bringing someone into power."
(No,I didn't sign it!)

Wow, do you think we could get 10,000 people to say their religion is Jedi? That woould be so cool..
