Thus starting the official Art Rating thread, me and Buddhist will rate your Art. Be it a pencil drawing on notebook paper, or oil paints on canvas, show it here and it will be rated in a righteous fashion. Myself being an art major, and Buddhist just plain being The Shit, we are certified yay/nayers in the Art world.

I like the general style, very simple, yet it grasps your attention and gets right to the point. What it lacks in drawing in makes up in bluntness. You can't get any blunter than "this is a bear on the rocks. Maybe he's chasing an animal, maybe he's coming out of a den. Who knows?"
It looks almost as though he was scathed in a battle of brawn and pure strength with another animal.
However, there are negative aspects of it, i'm afraid. The face of the bear, actually moreso the nose area and eyes area than anything else, looks like it could rival an anteater, which is never a good thing. When in doubt, go with a shorter nose on an animal, and you can always add on from there. I like the black and white sketching of it, but there's no background. Now that could be interpreted as good or bad depending on how you want to take it, but I will leave that up to you. It's not shoddy at all, but it's just a little bare without anything in the background, even just a little shading in the corner or so.
Overall, if I were grading it on a scale of ten [10], I would give it a 5.5 o/o 10.
Also, Marcus told me to say that he's reached the four-post-per-thirty-minutes limit, but fret not, he shall return with ratings.
And Doodle, Marcus wants the thread to be in here. Personally I think it'd go better in yours just because the title is overall better, but I think it would be best if we requested both topics locked and started a new one that grabs you with the title and three raters. Sounds like a good idea, perhaps?
