However, Tom has recently made a few statements that I find disturbing to such a degree that I cannot remain silent. What follows is the story of how Tom can be so rich in the rhetoric of democracy and yet so poor in its implementation. Take, for example, irascible, chthonic spouters. Now look at Tom. If you don't believe there's a similarity, then consider that I have one itsy-bitsy problem with his shenanigans. Videlicet, they toss quaint concepts like decency, fairness, and rational debate out the window. And that's saying nothing about how you don't need to be a rocket scientist to detect the subtext of this letter. But just in case it's too subliminal for some, let me thrust it into your face right here: A central fault line runs through each of his shell games. Specifically, we need to look beyond the most immediate and visible problems with him. We need to look at what is behind these problems and understand that he possesses no significant intellectual skills whatsoever and has no interest in erudition. Heck, he can't even spell or define "erudition", much less achieve it. Until we address this issue, we will never move beyond it
