Same kinda thing happened with me when I was playing FFVII.
I didn't play my PS2 for about 2 weeks, and when i turned it back on, all my games were on my PS2 memory card, even the PS1 games...It was weird. Lucky, i could just transfer my game back over to the PS1 memory card. I was worried cause i nearly finished the game, just had to fight the last part, so I thought i had to start from the beginning again...but i didn't lol

the bit you are thinking about in the trailor, is not actually sephiroth. its just a "platinum haired warrior". some of the rumours say that these guys (there is more than 1) are working for sephiroth but nothing has been confirmed yet. for all we know sephiroith may not even be in the film, although i have not been on the ffac.net website for a while so i wouldnt know anymore. it is highly unlikely that sephiroth will not be in the film, as he is a favourite. some other rumours state that the dude in the wheelchair is sephiroth (like in a cloud-in-wheelchair rip off from being in the life stream) but this has not, to my knowledge, been confirmed yet.
