Legend of Zelda rules

Hay guys, how about we start talking about our ideas about what we think should be in the next Zelda game, keep in mine that TP is the last "traditional" Zelda game, I think Shigeru Miyamoto said that.

Well, here is one of my ideas, let Vaati be the major bad guy in one of the consol games (so far he has only been on handheld games that are almoast spinoffs, or have a different bad guy than Gannon at the very least (give Ganon a break Nintendo). Also, Vaati would look good with Wind Waker graphics and a wind mage would be very powerful on a ocean world, also, forget about the Mimish in this (hypothetical) game.

Another Idea I have was inspired by this thread.

Basicly, you play as Zelda instead of Link, imagine a game that takes place during the seven years Link is gone, zelda is in hiding and can turn into her alter ego so she can ninja her way into enemy forts and stuf because Ganon is trying to take control of Hyrule (you cant tell me he did it overnight)

And finaly on a side note, I will not allow this thread to remain dead any longer!

meh, im just trying to get peoples' opinions. for me OOT is the best one as well, but i want to see what other people think

At the time, Ocarina of Time had the strongest lasting impression for me, mainly because it was down-to-earth story retelling and gameplay that macthed. After I played it for a few hours straight, I realized why it deserved the 40/40 from Famitsu (OOT being the first game to earn that score).

Twilight Princess has a lot of lasting impact on me as well. The smooth gameplay and combat features expanded on the epic feel of the game. Now if it was only much longer and had a stronger sense of a large war instead of a one-Hylian army.

The capabilities of the Gamecube should be able to support the extra distance of having Sangoku Musou-esque battles of countless enemies in all directions, but it's too bad it didn't have it.

MM was good and i liked the fact you could fight the bosses over and over but i think Ocarina of Time was the best :/

I still remember the commercial for that game. It was a WWF/WWE commercial where Matt and Jeff were looking at Link saying "I wish I can do that", or something like that. XD

Ah, Zelda, so epic. I finally completed OOT without using a walkthrough after my 7th attempt (saying that, I did them several year apart so I forgot certain bits that were tricky to work out) the other day, took 4 days, ended up with all items except 2 (Ice arrows and something else) all great fairys and 15 hearts. 52 Gold Skulltulas too.

I love Zelda so much I'm making a fangame for it (info on my page) Progress is slow because I really cba with a lot of the animation atm, but it will get done... eventually.

I still have to complete MM too...

Only 4 days? 0.o You must be addicted or something. I could never play OoT for that much in such a short period.

Farore´s Wind/Nayru´s Love? :p Those are the only missable items beside the arrows and they´re easily overlooked.

Does anyone think that Twilight Princess can be outdone by another Legend of Zelda game. I mean the future games because Ocarina of Time is by so far the best LOZ game but then again its a bit close between Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess

I think that OoT was better than TP, though TP was still very good. I think that Nintendo can top TP with the next Zelda title, but they'd have tp work really hard, and I don't think that'll happen.

Really? But yeah its actually common knowledge that Ocarina of Time is still the best Legend of Zelda game out there. Also Nintendo does have to work hard if they want to surpass Twilight Princess but I have faith that it will happen, I just hope that I'll be alive when that does happen
