you see Me and my band (still deciding on a name) have a mission, to bring punk back. see we realize if this works, it'll thereby kill emo, or at least wither it away from the world. If(when of course :-) ) we go big and some how make it on MTV (which will be alittle off for a punk rock ska band) we will make a tour called (in honor of my band's favorite game on Newgrounds) "punk-o-matic".
What do you think, will this work?

How is bringing "punk" to MTV ganna help the genre at all?
I thought green day brought back punk for about a couple of years in the 90s. Try doing what they did.

OK hold on, MTV is just a check point, ok its not like I"m just trying to get on it, see if I'm on MTV (which really doesn't effect me at all that just means I have some music videos.) that means I can probably hold my own tour, sense I'll have the money you know?

Doesn't matter much. If you want to make a difference without this fake imitation punk crowd following you, do the right thing. All MTV cares about is how many records they sell and new ways to create a crappy reality TV show. They don't care about what you think and say and netheir will the crowd (Fine example: Green Day's American Idiot still lost to Bush after they got all of America listening to them)

MTV has a negative affect on everything.
Punk thrived on being underground for many years. It has had a good run. Please, don't try and bring it back. Your plan would work as good as trying to organize another Woodstock.

Why the fuck would anyone want to "revive" punk? It's not even music, it's just a way of dressing and a bullshit "attitude" taken up by overly angsty kids thinking that they're being rebels or sticking it to the man.
