It's overpriced. Plus they will release a bunch of bullshit expansion packs just to milk more money out of players before the game's golden age dies.
All rpgs have a negative effect on society. The only games that should be played are RTS's (though I despise them) and Modern, accurate, military tactical shooters (which I love).

Yes because those accurate, modern shooting games are proving to have a positive effect on violence. I mean hell, without those the kids who shoot up the schools would hit walls instead of heads.

For the playing time you can actually get out of it, its not insanely high. People think the whole per month thing is insane. When the fact is, most single player $50 games have like a playing time of less then 2 weeks.

One point you're gonna get sick of it and finish playing the game, and when you look back you'll realized you've wasted X amount of money during X amount of time, but as long as you enjoy it than there is no real harm done.

it really does cost alot, but since its so popular, everyone will play it anyways....thats why its so high in the first place....i think everquest is also 15...

You are demonstrating ignorance. Tactical Shooters employ the use of strategy and cunning. It isn't just about following orders, it's about giving them. You can die with one shot and so can they. This means you have to conform to the current situation as fast as possible and use advance tactics to keep yourself and your team alive and accomplish the given mission in the best way possible. People shooting up schools would never be able to comprehend those games.

No its not that game costs money to stay alive, look at it from the developers point of view. It took years of development to make that game, Im happy it isnt higher. Plus 15$ a month isnt bad. And yes I am addicted to WoW.

I thank you for your support. Although you may not be supporting me, as you are stating facts, but I'm glad you have logic and reasoning. I would also like to add that Battlefield 2 does not pass as an accurate or tactical military shooter.
