winamp opens.
can i have some ideas on why this would be happening and/or how to stop it.

Maybe you accidentally made the PrntScrn button a hot key for starting Winamp? Or maybe CAPS/Num/Scroll lock is on and thats doing something to the PrntScrn key?

well yeah, i know that much.
but i dont know how to un-make it the hot key.

Did you check in the HELP toolbar in Winamp? Cause it should probably say something there...

In help >search "keys", theres a whole whackload of info about the related hotkeys. See if you maybe hit the wrong key combo, or accidentally programmed the same hot keys for the 2 programs in question.

winamp, NOT windows media player.
If you look in the Help section, it clearly states that the Print Screen button cannot be used as a hot-key. It just sounds like some spyware or virus.
Or you could try looking on the Winamp forums.
