Guess who signed on to play the role of Agent 47?

Vin fucking Diesel, I can totally see a good movie blown to shit, because it will be all explosions and shit, completely ruining a good stealth assassin movie. Plus Vin Diesel doesn't even look like him, and they should put the guy who they actually modeled the videogame character after, but when he asked for the role, they said 'fuck off.' Even Jason Statham would be better than him, so when it does come out in theatres, and Diesel is in it, I wouldn't waste my money.

This is too fucked up... I'm getting tired of the game-based movies now... I mean, Resident Evil was decent (as far as zombie movies go)... and that Final Fantasy movie they made a while ago was pretty good, but it had nothing to do with the games, so it doesn't matter... I haven't seen Doom yet, but from what I hear, it sucked... am I forgetting any?

The point is, if they make a Hitman movie, Vin Deisel is going to turn it into a fucking action movie, with guns blazing and everything blowing up. Which is not what the game is supposed to be like at all... as a shooter, it sucks, because it's all about stealth. Which is fun, in the game, but watching Vin Deisel sneak around would bore the hell out of anyone.

Their only option is to ruin it.

Well you can't say that for a fact. No clear judgements can be made until the movies release, or until you download it off the internet for free, which ever comes first. Besides, video game movies have always sucked. Remember the first one? The Super Mario Bros. Movie? Crap. But who cares? No one is forcing you to see the movie. If you don't want to see it then don't. Movie sales are at an all time low as it is because of all the crappy movies.

The actual storyline in the game is a bit more complex... but I guess you can't expect much from a movie that's in production, and they wouldn't want to post spoilers anyway.

Like I said, the movie does have a chance... it's being written by the guy who did Swordfish, which, if I remember correctly, was pretty good. But I wouldn't count on Hitman winning any awards, unless they manage to put naked women in it.

I never played the game, but I remember the cover since I used to work in a video store. Jason Statham does indeed look like the guy.

Take for example, Mortal Kombat. And Resident Evil. And don't even get me started on Street Fighter...
