Quite cool, but it would be good if there was a line or something linking the images together, like a line in between that fades from dark to light orange with the buttons, other wise, nice!
I kinda miss the flash buttons. This is a sie for flash movies, right?
Otherwise the buttons are cool, but you should run the whole site into being similar.
It's pretty cool. I especially like how the far right button changes to link to random collections.

I think there should be a dedicated button for VG parodies since they do bring alot of attention and traffic here, is that home button necessary since you have the huge NG logo to click on.. just a thought Tom :D

Just a follow-up, how come not all the collections are represented by the random icon? It doesn't seem fair to represent 4 or 5 out of the many collections.

I don't think there should be a Home button on the new NavBar ...Tom. Everyone can just click on the NG logo for that. It's a waste of space for something that could give us better use of navigation. Now the random button is cool! Nice job!

Good stuff. I'm glad you got rid of the music on the Portal page, also. I love the text-only voting page, too. The Pico animation was cute, but took up too much bandwidth and processor power on my older comps.

It looks a lot better than the first one. I think it's pretty cool too on how you made it so the "far right" button changes everytime you refresh or go to a new page.

I quite like it, but yeah, i think it should be a flash file, since it is a flash site. and also, if you go with what everyone says and get rid of the home button, i think you should replace it with a 'forums' button, since its just a tiny button at the top at the moment when most people probably use the forums just as much as the portal.
by the way, love the new portal title bar thing. YOU CAN MOVE THE BUS NOW!! so cool. nice work.

I don't like it that much. It doesn't mix with the page, colour-wise and such. The flash navbar, although simple, did mix in very nicely with the whole outlook of the page. This one however sticks out like a black shirt in a crow of white ones. I suggest making the BG colours the same, as well as adding actions to change them when pressed to a darker hue. Although I'd rather see a flash navbar since 1)this is a flash site, and 2)it adds to the professional look of the page.
i dont like it. the colors dont go with the rest of the page like the old one did.
It looks perfect, only problem is whenever clock crew shows up, I get the undying urge to vomit. =P
ehh..... i agree its time for a new nav. bar.... but i really dont like this one too much
