I thought it was a cool movie (it really doesnt matter to me if it doesnt follow the comic book to the full extent (as if they ever do)).
But, like Dr. Doom, he isnt supposed to be exposed to the gas. He acually makes himself a suit that can shoot lightning.

I saw that movie yesterday... it was O.k. but not the greatest movie a man could watch. And talking about Marvel, not all there movies suck. I for one liked the punisher... Violence, nudity, drugs, mafia... what more could a movie need.

yes it did have a lot of mistakes, such as Doom has no powers of his own, he was not involved in the cosmic ray accident, they never found a cure for grimm, etc. but it was decent for all a movie can be, except, i felt it was to much in your face, like the skying scene with the "hot tub" and a lot of predictable humour.

lets not blame the director...he was given a script and went with it...i blame the screenwriter
secondly i doubt this will be as bad as daredevil(how sad the daredevil is the posterboy for the shittiest of shitty movies)
thirdly i agree the comics always did blow but that video game kinda kicked ass
and lastly the day i saw the trailer i knew it was gonna blow cuz they fucked up how the thing looks....

I have the original movie that was never released...it's so funny, it's a B-Movie.
That movie was awesome. It was better than most of the comic book movies. Definately better than Hulk and Elektra. The only good thing about Elektra was the girl-on-girl kissing and Garner's hot body. But this movie had Alba which was all it needed. The whole movie was cool though. Shut up.
PS: There's already some threads about this movie. You don't have to make a new one to voice your opinion.

Awesome special effects. Great fight scenes. Neat premise. Wonderful villian (and his coming-to-be). Well-done storyline. Sad side-story of The Thing. The only two things I didn't like about the movie was that the blind girl seemed to have fallen in love with Ben Grimm before she even met him and one of the ending lines by Jessica Alba; "That's my nose, genius. These are my lips." That line could have worked had they just removed the "These are my lips" end of it.
The special effects were cool and creative. A lot of the things Mr. Fantastic did with his power were cool and well done looking. The way the Human Torch would become engulfed in flame looked cool. The Invisible Woman's visible to invisible transition looked cool enough though she rarely used it in the movie.
The movie was just overall cool and fun to watch. I'd watch it again if I had the chance.
Yeah I saw the Fantastic Four movie and it sucked big times. They really messed up with Doctor Doom & The Invisible Woman. Doom didn't seem as menacing in the movie as he did in the comics or even the cartoons (Spider-Man or Fantastic Four either one). He pretty much got the same goofy treatment as the Green Goblin in the first Spider-Man movie, there's no real dangerous threat to the world or even New York they don't have any real plan short killing the hero. Look at Magneto or Doctor Octopus from X-Men & Spider-Man2, they had a plan that would have destroyed the entire world and killed millions if no one had stopped them.
As for the Invisible Woman, don't get me wrong I love Jessica Alba (#1 Dark Angel Fan) but she should have never been cast in this part not because of race but because of the roles she usually plays. With a few exception, she usually plays the tough-as-nails badass and even though Sue Storm has pretty through some crazy shit over the years she's always been pretty much the all-american good girl-turned-superhero. Hell, I love Dave Chappelle, but I wouldn't cast him as Superman. They tried to sell that movie based entirely on how sexy she is and we all know what happend last time Hollywood tried that . . . Catwoman.
