Yoda is an extremely powerful Jedi, perhaps even more powerful than Palpatine. Of course he could feel their deaths. Plus, those Jedi were Yoda's close friends.
There's still something off though. I'm talking about Princess Leia, of course. She was raised on Alderaan, one of the central planets in the Galaxy. And Vader even talked to her face to face in episode IV. How come they didn't sense she was Force sensitive, let alone Anakin's descendant?

I acctually thought the main reason that luke went to tatooine was because that was the last place Darth Vader would willingly go to after his mothers death. I think He said somewhere in the second movie that he would never go back to tatooine.
