I've seen loads of error messages but that's new to me...your printer is on right? It's not hollow or anything? lol...

Yeah it's on, lol. It's plugged in too. It says this first, THEN gives me the error message: "Before you can perform printer-related tasks, you must first install a printer. Would you like to install a printer?" Then I click yes and it gives me that error.
Okay, you got the printers drivers (usually on a CD that comes with it). Even then you might have to install manually, what OS are you using?

Windows XP, and I don't have the driver. I thought Windows would just use that 'new hardware wizard' and install it for me...but yeah...that didn't happen.

DUDE. You fucking rule! That worked! I changed the startup type to automatic, somehow I had it on none. The clicked start and what do you know? Sure enough it works. Kick ass, and thanks!
