Yes Merry Christmas indeed.
Happy Hanakuh as well.
And may your Kwanza not happen.
Christmas is a celebration of the Birth of Christ. It was started by people who wanted to celebrate the birth of Christ.
Hanakuh is a celebration of a of re-dedication of a holy temple that involved the miraculous small jar of oil that burned for eight days. It was started by people who love their religion.
Kwanza is a celebration of a bunch of generic Socialistic values. It was started by a man (Ron Karenga) who went to prison for torturing two women to death. The tortures involved whipping the women with electrical cords, and a soldering iron in the mouth, among other fun holiday events. Of course after he retired from his life as a leader of men who murdered Black Panther members and a raping torturer, and an inmate, he settled down as a newly converted Marxist in a cushy CSU job.
