you would see it alot more seeing how alot of people hate gays, but there is a rule on the NGBBS that prohibits the use of the word.

Well, to be honest, homophobia dosn't worry me too much, but that's probly jsut because I'm not gay. But that's just me.
I just find it hillarious when people refer to things as 'gay' because as you get older it becomes less and less frequent and if you hear a 13 year old speak it's their default thing for something they don't like, so I find it really funny when people say it because it's so immature.
Homophobia doesn't bother me as much as the way the media reinforces the common homosexual stereotypes. Like the flamboyant queens on that retarded show Will and Grace, or the butch unwashed bulldykes they always show on tv. Gay people are just as diverse as straight people, but network television would have us all believe that they're all cut from the same cloth and easy to pick out of a crowd. The fact that so many are uncomfortable with the subject of homosexuality doesn't surprise me when the mojorty of out-of the-closet gays the general public gets to see are the over-the-top ones on tv.
