I was just wondering if anyone knew the current amount of points needed to be in a specific level. Such as, level 10 is between 1,194 and 1,985. I know this changes all of the time, but I was just curious about the most recent.

Also with another part, while it is always changing, how much for each level is depositing Experience points really worth. With it always changing, I know I only get about 7 to 8 points closer to the next level with a deposit of 10.

Right now, you need exactly 792 from level 12 to 13, and im not even half way to level 14 :(

and just why the hell is it so hard to level up? i mean, being as you can only do 10 points a day, why should we spend more than a year trying to level up to the next group?

Hey. None of what I want is there. I am looking for the amount of points between each level to get an estamat for each on just how long it takes. I think it sucks too. ANd it is not just for me, but every level.

If you're interested, you can scan do a couple of things to find out. Scan through some threads with lots of posts, and you should find a number of people at varying levels replying. From there you can compile a list.

At my site are ~1700 profile links. You're bound to find people at most of the 30 levels that way.

HT, Pimp, etc. have been at the site for 4 years and deposting experience the huge majority of that time. Of course every other level is going to be harder. The simple fact is that levels mean absolutely nothing. They are arbitrary mark points along the way that give you shorter term goals upon which to focus.

A few days ago, I posted the link to the exp calculator. You put in HT's current exp, it spits out the exp amounts needed for ALL the other levels. Check it out:

basically, though, the process is this:

HT's exp today = 17046
exp in the first 8 levelups that don't scale (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) = 400

difference = 16646
number of levelup marks that DO scale (10,11,12,etc....30) = 21

exp per level as of right now = 16646 / 21 = 792.66666666666...

So... level 9 takes 400 exp.
level 10 takes 400 + 792.66666 = whatever
level 11 takes 400 + 2*792.666666 = whatever
etc. etc. etc.

That's what that website does automatically, and it's a lot faster, now isn't it. #;-}>

Knowing how much exp is between each level today doesn't immediately tell you how long it's gonna take to get between one level and the next. If the levels are 800 exp apart, for instance, as they're soon about to be... you can say "hey, that's 80 days of exp," but then you've got the increases every time that HT deposits, so... to really estimate it, you need to either use the formulas from Newgrundling's exp FAQ or aquire NemesisM66's exp calculator.

Or, you can always do it the hard way, or the "medium hard" way. For instance, take that URL up there, put in today's HT exp, find out where level 10 starts right now and where level 11 starts. Presume someone has the exp needed for 10 (well, or the nearest -0 ending exp right above it)... now see how many days it will take for them to get to where level 11 is NOW... but now, you need to add the same exp to HT's exp... now do the website thingie again. You'll have a new mark for level 11, and a new exp between where the level 10 guy who got the initial amount needed is and the NEW level 11 requirement. Repeat. Repeat. Should be close enough for a "days needed" estimate.

Did you just call my mind beautiful? Heh. None of that required any more mind than what is necessary to become curious about the exp system, make shortcuts to 21 people's profiles at each of the scaling levels, and then check those profiles and type down numbers every single day for 20 days... and compute the differences and make a chart.
