When watching cartoons do you focus on one or two characters and not the background? I mainly can only stand looking at one at times and not the backgrounds

That's interesting. I don't think I have ADD, and even if I do, it's not that extreme. I personally tend to focus on the stuff that's in the foreground. A well directed cartoon makes it obvious on what the viewer should be looking at.
