I have attempted to create a track that brings out emotions and memories from past experiences.
This song in particular that i created reminds me of my late great-grandmothers house.
i started with a simple chord progression that stayed mostly positive until i included a bittersweet chord to finish off the progression
i created an arpeggio with a 12.5% square wave and a plucky envelope with some distorted reverb to give it some distance
the arpeggio follows the chord progression in this case
and the bass is a distorted sine wave, and the drum pattern are some drums from old 70s/80s drum kit synthesizers
the lead is a sine wave with a slight vibrato and i wrote the melody to compliment the chords in a way that almost felt bittersweet
I didn't follow any specific key, i went with whichever note combinations fit the emotion i was going for
i finished it off with some cassette sounds and a retro audio filter, and that's the track!
