You heard me. Which character in a video game is overhyped in terms of attractiveness? Who has too many fangirls/fanboys?
I have one in mind, but I want to see who else is brought up first.

leon kennedy hands down. i could understand the old re2/4 leon with his stylized anime look but the fans of the resident evil remakes that think that version of leon is hot has me confused as all hell. maybe its just a general aversion to having actual actors having their faces pasted on to video game characters for "le realism" but he really does not look remotely attractive. todays youth has lost me
Every single time there’s a female character in a game, no matter what she looks like, there will always be a huge wave of simps and weird art. It’s 100% guaranteed.
A couple examples I can think of that people went crazy over for a good while are that tall hat lady from Resident Evil Village
And those two robot girls from Atomic Heart (which is pretty much the only thing people remember from that game lol)
I kind of understand the Resident Evil lady, but what the heck is attractive about robots with no faces?? They just look kinda creepy.

Most simping seems to be towards anime girls that are canonically under 18, soooo...
But excluding all of those, I'm gonna say that Tifa is mid. She's only gotten more mid as time goes on, and I say that as a half-italian.

after some thinking, I'll say that GLaDOS from portal has alot of simps, she's even on tumblr sexyman wikipedia.

I wanted to put a fighting game character into the conversation but there are multiple. Not to say they aren't great designs but I'd be damned to hear a super fan actually played the character.
Also Morrigan but nobody played Darkstalkers for the longest time (big shame).

Sonic is the most unattractive character, he's built like a stick, his attitude and face language doesn't equate arousal at all, and he's fucking 15 years old.

I suppose one character that still fits within my criteria of "character I would usually find attractive" is Ankha, because while her design is cool...I just don't see the seemingly mass appeal she has? Katie and Daisy Mae are much cuter

Ankha I happen to understand, just by having seen some of the stuff that came out of that trend. Her personality is snooty and arrogant, which seems to have been interpreted by many as a dominating personality that will also be applicable in the bedroom. She’s therefore attractive to submissive guys who get turned on by being consensually treated as a servant, basically.
That being said, I don’t think the Ankha Zone video should’ve happened - I’m somewhat against character porn going viral, because of how it can mess up the fandom, find its way to underage eyes, or even get in the way of the creators.

About those two robot ladies, it's the femdom aspect. Some people just love that shit. I don't knock it, I can see why someone would like it, I'm just reporting on the why.
