What's the first piece of art you uploaded somewhere, or if you can't find it, the earliest uploaded art you know.

This could also be a way to look back on how you've improved!

It is always preferred that you begin a thread like this with your own example.

Anyway I think the first Art I ever posted to the internet was on the Resistance Fall of Man Forums, but beyond that the second earliest stuff can be found in my Art thread This one being the first post of that:

iu_1115232_2960153.jpg

then my most recent full piece is probably this one:

iu_1115233_2960153.png

Then in 2020 I made a video documenting all the art I’ve posted in the forums and in the Art portal for 10 years to show how artistic growth actually works. This was when one of those art memes where they post their first drawings and then their most recent drawings was going around on social media

I will always remember my first drawing and uploaded. I was just starting out and only drew in rayman style because i was lazy to practice limbsiu_1115261_8595296.webp

My first uploaded art on newgrounds specifically was

Oh c'moooooon do not make me post that !

I do not know what was 1st, but earliest work I have in Deviantart (which is the oldest surviving and still working website that has my work and has not purged any old files, nor have I).

This was opening of my website at time and I had uploaded the screenshot of that in Deviant-art. It includes a pencil drawing of mine. Surely it is not the 1st thing I ever loaded, but is the oldest that is still accessible online for me.

And how I have improved? If at all ? This same character as I did draw for laughs this year with Hellraiser twist (a wip doodle)

iu_1115290_16926282.webp

At time 'phantom of the opera' was my signature alter ego, as I was nicknamed the 'ghost' in real life and I used opera web browser, so I became ghost of opera, - and later it was associated with the 'phantom of the opera' book, so on olden days I did a lot of references to that character due that.

Oh boy... well, I didn't know where to post my art as a kid on the internet, so instead, I posted animations to YouTube (before discovering deviantART some months later). So I guess my answer would be... this video. This ancient artifact. A true product of its time.

Some years ago, I never would've shown anyone this video. I would've tried to push it down into the deepest darkest depths of my mind, lest I implode from the cringe it would impose upon both myself and others.

But now, I am proud of it. It's a true sign of how far I've come... not just as an artist but also, a creator.

Fuck the cynicism, let the colors fly!

Don’t care you think it’s cringe, because it’s not your life!

Made this in 2019 was my first ever drawing uploaded online. Even back then I wanted to draw monsters and creatures

However the first one I posted as VanVeleca was this

Pfff, I have no clue, and I rather not look at my old art from a decade ago...

Take it with a grain of salt, I am slower than a snail.

Most of my really, really old art was posted on a now-defunct art site around 2016-2017 and is completely lost to time. Now, the oldest stuff I can find dates back to around 2018--2020 when I had a furry phase and was active on sites like amino. Below the collage (which was taken from my Instagram archives) is a piece from last month:

I posted something I had loaded on DA in 2003. Do not be scared!

I originally shared this on an old Twitter account back in February, but can't find the link rn.

I just traced and manipulated a bunch of symbols from the Flash files and made this relatively obscure parallel between Ray and Tommy Vercetti. Nothing groundbreaking.

Update: just needed to go listen to Out of Touch for the 1000000th time.

Oh wow, this was tricky to remember. I think the first art thing I ever uploaded to the internet was this:

iu_1115919_18589287.webp

It's the first page of a Pokémon comic I was working on back in 2009, posted on my DeviantArt profile which I made explicitly to share said comic. Looking back on it, I can spot a lot that's wrong and it makes me cringe, but back then of course I was incredibly proud of it.

this is the first time i ever tried to be serious about art,and also the first thing i've posted..

thank God the reception was welcoming and positive

I started sharing my art online for the very first time in 2020. My first post was a piece of Mechgodzilla fanart that I had made back in 2018. I remember being kinda proud of it at the time. I don't think it's that great anymore, but I do still have a soft spot for it.

iu_1116293_7867164.webp

I've learned a lot since then. Here's a newer piece for comparison.

I'm just a freaky geeky weirdo.

I've only started uploading my art online very recently, so it's not a very good comparison with my most recent stuff. Instead, here's the earliest drawing I have that I made on FlipaClip back in 2018

Mine was a giant cyst that blows up if you get too close.

its brain makes up for the shrapnel, because it has literally no other organs aside from that.

While I uploaded a lot of stuff on my personal facebook while using Colors 3D on my 3DS. The first time I got a graphic tablet and made myself a DeviantArt account was this one.

I was into They Bleed Pixels and I loved playing it as well as Super Meat Boy. So I wanted to draw the girl from that game. I do believe that, while simple it is still charming. Years after, I redrew it, but it got lost in time since I honestly don't remember where I uploaded it and the hard drive of that computer died.

A redraw is in order, I guess.

Thank you! Now I think I am not the only one who thinks my style could be suitable for music album covers.

I've been drawing since I was like 2-3 but mostly kept it to myself and my irl friends until one of them suggested I should post them online. This is my earliest post from march 2019, based on the final battle of Ready Player One (the book):

It's on Instagram

I started drawing digitally a few months later with a mouse using vectors, I only started using a tablet a little over a year ago. Here's my most recent drawing, a self portrait of the raid meme:
