Hey guys! Who's up for another 1-Bit Artapalooza?
Last time, the illustrious @colorsCrimsonTears hosted the first ever 1-bit artapalooza that got frontpaged the other day:
We're gonna do that again, but this time, with a theme, and a twist.
Here are the rules:
- There are 70 slots. Unlike last time all the slots are the same. No white slots or black slots.
- Each slot is a 128x128 drawing
- You may submit as many drawings as you want. Slots are first come first serve, so be quick!
- Each drawing must be 1-bit, only black (#000000) and white (#FFFFFF). No gray pixels. If you're a photoshop/gimp user, this would mean you'll need to use the pencil tool instead of the brush tool. If you're still confused, see the original thread above for examples.
- You can submit it as black against mostly white or white against mostly black. It won't matter this time around and you'll see why in a sec.
- Submissions go directly into this thread. They don't need to be submitted to the art portal (though you're still certainly welcome to). If I give an  reaction, you'll know you've been counted!
- If your drawing doesn't meet the rules, you'll be asked to change it and resubmit.
As you submit, if you could subtract 1 from the remaining slots like last time, that'd be super helpful!
Now, we're gonna do round two, but with a twist:
"...wait, what? But you just said the images need to be in black and white!"
Yup! Here's how that will work:
- After all the submissions are in, I'll recolor them to fit one of the colors of the image. Your submission needs to be in black and white in order to simplify that process
- If you want, you can request one of the colors (purple, orange, yellow, or green), but in general I can't promise your image will be in a specific color or specific place
And, as it's the spooky month, here's the image we're going to build together!
Let's do this! >:)
