WIP: (mostly) full-body expression/emotion drawings of Jenny.
(Top-left date says Sunday bc that's when I last screencapped it, to prep a WIP in case I couldn’t finish any new art before then. I didn't re-screencap it bc I didn't edit the art doc since then...and it would've been too tedious, tbh😥)

Adobe Fresco version history: (mostly) full-body expression/emotion drawings of Jenny—incl. dealing with file conflicts😰(Jenny's expression matches my initial sentiment when I ran into that problem😅).
PSA for Adobe Fresco users who’ll work on mobile data/unstable internet:
Set ur art doc to “Make available offline” beforehand.
Main Steps:
If you don't do this and you end up with conflict copies and all, manually copypasta each of the edited layers from your conflict art doc to your original art doc. https://helpx.adobe.com/fresco/using/fresco-and-photoshop.html#Wanttoworkoffline

Also, the versions don’t go all the way back to June bc this is a duplicate that I made ~1 week after I finished the “Jenny Anxious” standalone fanart...before deleting the original art doc…without screencapping all of original art doc's version history.😰
(The left sketch of Jenny also matches my sentiment😔. Lighter note: that sketch was meant to represent the exact emoji at the end of the 1st paragraph☺️).
Don’t worry though, I’ve saved the timelapse footage from before then.😌🙏
Timelapse (up to September 10, 2023):
WIP: Jenny injured 😢- a sketch I built off of a traditional doodle I did, along with a low angle version of that sketch (I’ll be working on & posting both angles, btw😉)
Adobe Fresco version history: Jenny injured
WIP: Hank Murray model sheet
To help with my fan animatic clip of Adventures in Odyssey’s episode "Hold Up!"
Rest of WIP & version history: Hank Murray model sheet
Early Behind-the-Scenes:
From September 15, 2023
(Tbh, I had qualms about posting draw-overs/sketch-overs/tracing, even though I've noted they're studies, plus credited the source photos.😥 Absolutely let me know your guys's thoughts.🙏)
Mostly draw-overs from about last week, based off of some martial arts photos from https://www.bodiesinmotion.photo/
I try to see these draw-overs/sketch-overs/tracings less as that stereotypical, white-knuckle tracing an outline and more like sketching the forms. I.e., like drawing something again, or as if I was drawing from imagination (...but what I'm imagining is right in front of me😳).

Brushes: (Dig.) Sketching Brush [my custom brush]
Now, really bad pieces of mine (imo)😬 from today
My first two sketches while trying out my Krita recreation of Adobe Fresco's default pencil brush. It's mainly the heads that I don't like (excluding the pigtails; they're fine).
Also, they (mainly in the torsos & necks) are stiffer than I'd like them to be. Tips to self: 1) draw throughout the entire body 1st instead of trying to tie down 1 body part too much & 2) don't forget the neck!
Don't like these too much.😨 (The pencil brush was pretty good, though.🙂👌)
From September 16-17, 2023
Timelapse of two head thumbnails I did for the 2-"panel" "Jenny Injured" artwork. This is of Jenny's pigtail positions, with me trying to make them dynamic but also have her right one be broken, and have you wonder what's wrong. Simply, a mix of form & function but for visual storytelling.😊👌
Even rough sketches for storyboarding are done with a stylus & tablet, eh?...Moses on a pogo stick, no one uses paper & pencils anymore. (No professional does by now, at least)
Traditional media will go the way of the dodo bird. Now the only question is will it happen in my lifetime, or later...
Is Krita your go-to program for this?
(Old Art 2021-03-27) Colored Gesture Drawing- Sirius Kitty Sleeping
9:05-9:19, 4:45-5:20pm
Another gesture drawing of Sirius Kitty for my Spring 2021 intro 2D animation class.
🛑Kitty doesn’t have bald spots/burns; that’s unfinished coloring😳. I tried to quickly finish, but Sirius Kitty moved before then.😅
Also, color and markers weren’t required, but I still wanted to play around with my newly-bought markers. (Also, I bought them for that Spring 2021 to begin with bc 1) to get free Amazon shipping😅 and 2) with me getting more interested in traditional art supplies from that class, I thought it could help me with doing character sketches/concepts traditionally.

Linework: Uniball Signo DX (Blue-Black, 0.5mm)
Colors: Caliart Alcohol brush & chisel tip markers (from 51 pack)
Editing Software: Krita [using FIlter Layers/Filter Masks]
2023-10-08 Jenny nervously reassuring- Fountain pen & ink sketch
9:39-10:10pm
Late-night sticky note sketch of Jenny. One of the first sketches I did with my 1st bottled fountain pen ink.😊👌
Ngl, in a thumbnail preview, she kinda looks like she has a fivehead😅 I was hoping that the blue colored pencil would show up and help her stand out from the background, but my scanner blew up the lighting so much, hardly any of it is showing.🤷♀️
ART SUPPLIES
Linework & Signature:
-Pen: Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen (Fine nib)
-Ink: J. Herbin Vert de Gris (Greyish Green)
Sketching:
-Pilot Color Eno Neox (purple, 0.7mm) - eyebrow & hairline sketch, parts of BG shade
-Pentel 2mm blue lead (BG shade)
Editing Software: Krita [using FIlter Layers/Filter Masks]
From October 16th. About time i did a background sketch!🙂👌 A mix of an observational sketch & re-imagining (angle-wise) of the outside of the library's 2nd south floor study hall's women's bathroom, with an average-sized human figure (American standards) for reference.
Also, great that I was able to get a clear picture of this lighter sketch with my new phone🙏; even my scanner can't capture light sketches well.😥
ART SUPPLIES:
-Pentalic Traveller's Pocket Sketchbook
-Faber Castell TK9400 Clutch Pencil
-Uni Mitsubishi Lead Holder Refill (2 mm, F)
Taken with Google Pixel 8 Pro

07-21-2023 Friday Nite Figure Drawings (in Spacedad’s Spaceclub)
From July 21, 2023
Timelapse w/ partial draw-overs, notes, and the creation of said timelapse
Photos from Scott Eaton’s Bodies in Motion website
Did 2 minute figure drawings on Friday but minimal draw-overs, since between re-adjusting my sleeping schedule & helping my mom with groceries, I haven’t been able to draw as frequently. On top of that, I missed my notif & didn’t get to warm up.😅
Almost wanted to do more draw overs, but noting my above state, I wouldn’t have been ready. Now, (as you’ll soon read under Spacedad’s Critiques), I know that I must do draw-overs.
Personal Reflections/Experience
CW // hand condition mention
Really quick and intense, as many 2min figure drawing sessions are when I haven’t done them in a while. That’s why I still wanted to participate, despite my right hand’s condition.😳
Nonetheless, I was afraid my right hand’s growth (likely a ganglion cyst; it feels fleshy rather than bony) would act up and paralyze my hand. It hasn’t actually happened: it’s more paranoia. I haven’t felt any unusual pain since a week from 2-4 weeks ago. I still did 5 sec massages though, to mitigate any worsening.😉

Krita’s Recorder Docker is as seamless as Adobe Fresco’s timelapse feature!

Jenny so anxious, she loses her mind
From Nov. 8, 2023
Art Timelapse
Quick doodle with my vector brushes. Started as me drawing over my “Jenny Anxious” fanart, then became me trying to redraw it from the top of my noggin as a way to break in my flat vector brush (for doodles/quick sketches, that is).
Could be a “worse comes to worse,” really quick doodle/sketch style I could use for some of my weekly posts, while working on far longer storyboard projects, along with WIPs of said storyboard projects.🤔
TIME DURATIONS
NOTE TRANSCRIPTIONS
0:03 (*) this time: started w/ LARGER brush
0:13 * Realize: loses mind so much, can't even see straight
0:17 (?) Still tense? Or want to attack/strangle someone?
MINI JOURNAL
Possible looser, even simpler style for my artwork. Concerned about having too much polished/colored stuff than is healthy for my intended storyboarding career/known styles.😟
On other hand, I’d heard that [at least] on Instagram, fully colored art gets more engagement than doodles/sketches.
I’ll experiment here, with a more extreme case. Only thing I have to lose is follower/like count, and even those those parameters aren’t as important as progressing with my storyboard/drawing skills (...despite me *behaving* otherwise😬).
BEHIND THE SCENES
Vector brush sketches: simpler to clean up, just a stroke to erase…usually.
It’s kinda changed now. Don’t know why, but sometimes erases most of my vector sketch. Another Reddit user has posted on the same problem: Vector Trimming stopped working https://www.reddit.com/r/AdobeFresco/comments/17kt3zx/vector_trimming_stopped_working/ . Workaround: manually erase to break off the line.🤷♀️
It *was* going to be a top-of-the-noggin redraw, but then I got the idea to have her brain shooting out of her head, which made her having her left hand up to her face too pared down for such a shocked expression.
Also, just realized this is the 2nd posted artwork of a vector brush sketch (along with my Hank Murray character sketches from a WIP post).
