Looking for voices for male, adult roles in a children's musical/audiobook. Unpaid work but a range of roles such as innkeeper, governor, King, army officer, and narrator, could be a fun little project for anyone interested.
None of these roles require singing and we would be happy if a VA would like to record the voices for more than 1 character. High school students will be recording the main characters who all have singing parts. The finished audiobook will have full sound effects and an original music score.
The story surrounds a brother and sister who must go on a quest to find a medicine to cure their army general father.
VAs are needed for the following roles:
King of Rome - a kind, older man with 2-3 scenes, 2-3 minutes of talking time.
General Cyrus - a hot-headed general who has sworn vengeance for the death of his father, 2-3 scenes, 4-5 minutes of talking time. Is initially a villain but changes to a friend eventually. Possibly the most difficult role as he is involved in a confrontation and sword fight.
Governor of Eastwood - 2 scenes, makes a rather long speech at a retirement ceremony and answers questions from a worried crowd at the town hall, 4-5 minutes of talking time.
Innkeeper - 1 scene but makes a 2-3 minute speech that reveals something about one of the main characters.
Narrator - 6-7 narration spots throughout the story, looking for an older-sounding voice, about 10 minutes of talking time.
Please send me a private message if you are interested and a demo reel would be much appreciated.
