To start. I’ve been getting more and more into the scene of collecting Transformers. I started years ago when I was younger but recently I got reinvested into the Hobby thanks to the Studio Series 86 and Kingdom line of figures. With my first few figures being Jazz, Hot Rod, and Warpath. I’ve been collecting them since and I wish I started earlier. Figures are hard to come by and the characters I want are from 2019 or 2020. That’s not to say I’m not interested in figures released now, far from it. But to get a Optimus Prime that scales with the rest of my collection I have to pay high prices, and don’t get me started with Bumblebee.
So while I’ve amassed a small collection of figures there’s something more that I want now, and that’s early CHUG figures from 2006-2011. These figures are so drastically different from the traditional style that modern Generations Figures go for, which is accurately depicting the characters based on their Animated appearance or making a new appearance based on G1. old CHUG (which stands for Classics, Henkei, Universe, and Generations) is based more around modernizing the classic designs, and that is so cool to me. Especially when it comes to Optimus and Ultra Magnus’ molds. Which with the addition of Add On kits makes them look even better (especially on Magnus).
But along those same lines I also want to start collecting more Movie based figures. Figures specifically made for the Movies of characters from them or characters made to fill up space on shelves, and those guys are what I’m looking for. The Bludgeons, the Seasprays, the Hailstorms. These guys look amazing and I wish I had them. I have some old movie figures still in box that I’ve had for years but the more I think about these older figures the more I wish I had them. They’re design philosophy, size, and gimmicks are all something that I wish to have in my collection. I hope to eventually have the money for these decade old figures but alas I don’t.
But that’s a problem that comes with collecting. It’s the lack of funds to support your hobby. But that’s aside the point. As of right now this is what my collection looks like.

I need myself a different shelf to put it on that I can then light up but it still works. I don’t have any old figures or movie figures displayed here as this is my modern figure display. Featuring a mix of Mainline and Studio Series 86 figures. I hope to eventually get an Optimus and a Megatron for it but so far I only have Galvatron and Hot Rod. But with Armada Optimus coming soon he might be the Optimus I display with the rest of them. Armada Megatron too if I have the funds.
and that’s basically what I’ve been collecting at the moment. The transformers are more plentiful than say my Gunpla or my Kaiju figures. I hope to expand it more later but it’s looking good so far. I have a lot more I could say about collecting transformers but I’ll save that for later.
