I used to be afraid of the dark. Like wtf is hiding in there?! Then I realized there was nothing to fear, I am what lurks beneath the shadows. Now I just have thalassophobia. Last time I went swimming was in a quarry that got flooded when machinery struck a water reservoir. It was 300 feet deep and crystal clear but the depths were pitch black. Idk why I jumped off a 30 foot cliff into that shit. I felt instant regret, I had forgotten how to swim and I had jeans on lol. Jackknifed so deep into the water I thought I would never reach the top. To get out I had to climb these massive and slimy stone blocks, felt like I was in the water temple from oot. Afterwards, I jumped in again! But yeah I fear being in open water, unsure of what's beneath.
I used to be afraid of the dark and also of a pucca episode, cuz it literally had a screamer at the end.

This is going to sound so stupid, but when I was little (around 5-6), I used to be afraid of the Xbox startup.
My mom would turn it on and I'd try to hide from the scary sounds on the TV lol. (Either behind a couch or curtain, or even just running out of the room in general). I used to have noise sensitivity issues when I was younger, so maybe that caused it.

The music, the gnarled noises he makes, and the fact that all you can do is RUN made this one of the most horrifying experiences I've ever had as a kid.
It doesn't scare me as much anymore, but I still tense up like hell whenever I replay it.

Fucking Holiday Nutcrackers. I swear those weird straight teeth and the fact you can make the jaw moves really scared me when I was young. I also got scared that time when my buddy told me that you can crack your balls with it. But when I got older I stopped being scared with those things, I don't know man.
